What happened during the Superbowl halftime show?

Hi everyone

We just got back from Mexico and missed watching the Superbowl. I keep hearing something about Janet Jackson apologizing for the superbowl? Could someone explain to me what happened? Thanks!

Basically, at the very end, where Justin Timberlake's song says "Bet I have ya nekkid by the end of this song" (spelled that way on purpose, I know how to spell) Justin reached up and grabbed a part of Janet Jackson's outfit, revealing her breast which was partially covered with some kind of scary celestial piercing. Everybody went nuts and is super angry with them....but that's the gist of it.

I was actually in my room at POP Century, and turned to the Stupid Bowl, and actually SAW this with my own 2 eyes! My friend who was staying with me, had looked away for a split second and missed it......lucky her I guess. I thought Janet was wearing a Tassle.?

I don't know if this has already been posted or not, but I was wondering...

Does anyone else think the following:

A) Janet did this to get some of the heat off of her brother Michael
B) Janet did this to start getting more attention since she hasn't had an album in awhile (also note, she was at her brother's first trial date in California...she'd never shown up for something like that before, either)
C) Justin did this to take some of the heat off of Britney's quickie marriage
D) Justin did this to steal the limelight from Britney's quickie marriage

Just some thoughts...
