I have not accessed the DVC website recently (but not too long ago). We cannot access the member area, for we need our member ID and activation code (?). I guess we have to call DVC and see how we can obtain the proper info (purchased in 1997). When did they change this? We found this out when we tried to do online check in

I also had the same problem several days ago. Finally I managed to get in but I don't know if I did anything different or it just worked.:confused3

The web site has been "enhanced to improve the member experience."

I can no longer get into it from work because my office still uses Internet Explorer 7 (which is admitedly antiquated). Disney's new web sites don't support this browser. :(

If you're logged into another Disney web site, you may be getting this message because the two accounts aren't properly linked. As suggested by a previous poster, try closing all browsers, clearing cookies, and trying again.

If you still get the same error, or if you want to re-link your DVC and My Disney Experience accounts together, you can call Member Services and ask them for a new activation code. Same 800 number as when making a reservation. Select option 1, then option 6.

They "improved it" :rotfl2::rotfl2:

As is usual with Disney's IT the "improvements' mean we broke what did work while not correcting any or our other issues... but look it's cute! :confused3

Ok, all joking aside, why is this!?
The new website took away things the kids were used to (in one day... GONE) and enjoyed.
Logging into Member Services is hit or miss (even with all the "parameters" met- updated browser, cookies cleared, etc.)
SLOWWWWWWWW!
Can someone that knows something about IT please explain their opinion as to what is up with all this, please!:3dglasses(waiting eagerly)

I miss the points calculator. I used it frequently and it was very usual in comparing resorts. Also could do the next year's out.
Now I am back to using the one linked here to Dis but it can't do January's which I really need. Yeah, I can do it the long way by the charts, but the calculator is more fun.

I use the points calculator from david's rentals. http://www.dvcrequest.com and it goes out past January. It makes a nice page listing the points cost of each resort for each category of rooms, and it almost fits on one page if you want to print for later.

Personally have not had any problems with it and actually like it.

I like that I can buy my DVC priced annual pass directly there without going to Disney tickets, like that I link my reservation to my dining and print it all off.

Why? Because we can

And no, no one who knows anything about IT has a CLUE what Disney is doing. It's pretty apparent they have no one who knows anything about IT working there either.

Those of us with some knowledge have heard of this concept called "testing" where you ensure things work BEFORE you go live. As far as I can tell, Disney doesn't bother with that step.
