What hair styles were popular at your school?

Center parting. Yes, curtain blinds. Fast forward a few years and it was all about messy spikes. I swear, I kept the hair gel business in profit for quite a while!

80s hair. What you would do was take a rattail comb and brush your bangs straight up and hold them there. Spray with AquaNet. Blow with the hairdryer on low until they were as stiff as a board. *Then* you would tease and backcomb them until they looked nice and puffy, liberally spraying with more AquaNet. Repeat on sides of hair. More AquaNet to finish. You could have bounced a quarter off my hair in 1984. You know that hole in the ozone? All me.

Ah, the poof, a solid nest above the forehead. Wash hair, dry hair, hot rollers, curling iron, comb/pic, spray, bend at the waist, spray, wait, straighten, tease...

Early 70s in NM so you could see just about anything. For the most part for girls it depended on if you were a "hippy" or conservative. I was sort of in between, I wore mine long with little skinny little braids on each side and feathers at the end of the braid, parted in the middle most of the time, but if I parted it on the side the braid was only on the parted side. I also wore it all braided on both sides parted in the middle. Boys either wore their's longish way over the collar if they were "hippies" or just touching the collar if not.

Short back and sides at mine.

It was the 60's, and everyone set their hair with huge curlers or even those small frozen orange juice cans, slept on those awful hard curlers. And the next day you teased your hair up high and sprayed it stiff with cheap hair spray. I think AquaNet was 39 cents a can and I used to go through a can a week!
What a crazy time, but we all did it and looked the same, kinda like styles today. Everyone gets the same style (straight). At least the various styles come back sooner or later. I still tease my hair a little bit and wear it turned under and jaw length. :rolleyes1

Mid 90s. Varies a lot. Straight, wavy, curly, middle part, side part, bangs, no bangs. Lots of gel for those who did the curly styles.

OMG...I haven't thought about that in a long time. I remember sleeping in those HUGE rollers.
They made the hair look unbelievably good -- big, full, natural. But who would suffer through it??!!

I like now -- blow dry and all clothes made out of soft T-shirt material. Much better!
