What groceries do you order/bring

We also freeze things, pack them into a flat soft cooler (like a casserole carrier) and then wrap them in my terry cloth bathrobe, then into a suitcase. ( Yes, I like my bathrobe at disney.) I've brought cheese, individual quiches, precooked bacon, butter, cream cheese...all frozen. Last trip, I even packed an ice cube and when I unwrapped it hours later, it still had sharp edges. It didn't seem to melt at all. We also bring bagels, english muffins, and snacks. At disney we'd buy milk, juice, eggs. This trip for the first time, we are using WEGOSHOP. We are traveling with our DS, DDIL and DGS. Glad to hear lots of good things about WEGOSHOP.
How long is your flight on average and are you going through customs with this?

Breakfast stuff - cereal, fruit, milk, english muffins and snacks and drinks. Bottled water and individual snacks for the kids to eat in the parks when they need to eat RIGHT NOW. Soda and beer for the evenings.

No customs. We are flying from PA, so usually I take a prepacked box out of the freezer into the cooler. Put it into the suitcase and out the door at around 4 - 5 AM. Usually we have a 7 or 8 AM flight. Flight time, ME time and get into room time, about 8 -10 hours have gone by. Sounds really long, but I believe those 2 1/2 hr of flight time, the cargo hold is pretty cold, so that helps.

Before I did this the first time, I took frozen food wrapped as if I was traveling and put the suitcase on our back porch in the sun. I put an oven thermometer on the food with the alarm set for 40 degrees. I don't remember the exact length of time, but it was hours for it to go from 0 to 40 degrees.

I would add if it wasn't for southwest and free bags, I wouldn't bother.

I typically pack "dry" goods in a hard sided suitcase - cereal, goldfish crackers, shelf stable cream (love trader joes!) or milk, alcohol, etc. anything that doesn't need to be refrigerated. Then we do a grocery order for the perishables. We've used garden grocer in the last, but we're using wholefoods this next trip.

In terms of menu - this next trip is a week so I'm trying to be organized about it. Grill chicken one day, use the leftovers for chicken salad. Bake a breakfast casserole that we can eat a few times. Get whole fruits and make fruit salad that will last a few days. I don't menu plan at all at home, but I have a definite plan for Disney. Don't want to throw out a bunch of food the day we leave!
