What good is the PIN code???

So I am confused. I got mail today from disney, with a Pin code to use. Its for a value, we never stayed at a value, but we will for the next trip, so I just went on the disney site and the rate online is quoted as the same rate on the card with the pin code??
what am I missing here, what good is the pin code if it isn't really a discount?

I believe that you have to call the phone number on the flyer you received. I don't think you can book online with the pin code.

Maybe it's for kids stay and eat free, free dining. You may have to call a CM to find out exactly what the code is for.

its for 20% off any resort, certain dates, and the dates fall when we are thinking of going too

If you want to aprox quote it yourself, grab a calculator, choose the offer dates, room only, when the total comes up multiply by .80. I'm always doing a version of this, because we often book room only AAA. Then, I call. Their result is nearly always the same. Sometimes the insurance is added, and I don't want it. Easy for me to catch, because I have a ballpark figure already.

If you have another offer (that would be really lucky! ) as long as the dates work and there is availability, they'll let you switch.
