Just because you have a reservation already doesn't mean you automatically get the discount on it. There has to be availability, like checking for a new reservation, at the resort you are staying in order for Disney to apply the discount code
OK I just called this is Sunday evening, and I had the code applied to our ressie w/ NO problem, refund was given automatically. it is still available.
