I have the following gear and am trying to figure out what to bring to Disneyworld: I have a canon digital rebel xt with a 70-300 4-5.6 IS USM, the kit lens and the 50mm 1.8f on the way. I also have the 430 ex speedlite flash. I am hoping to get a canon SD850 Point and shoot for my birthday to bring. I love taking pictures so I thought about taking my gear. I am looking at getting a back pack by Lowpro so I can take my stuff with me on all the rides. I have read that you can take all the stuff on the rides but I don't want my stuff hurt.
The trip is just my husband and I but we ride everything but the water rides.

For those who think I should bring my stuff, what bag should I use?

Thanks
Erin

Definately bring your stuff!!!! I love my Lowepro 200. It's a sling design, so you can get to your stuff without taking the bag all the way off. I also like that it has a waterproof cover attachment. Should you have a downpour, your gear will be protected.

The Lowepro 200 likes like a nice bag, I just got mine and havent used it yet, but i plan on taking it in May when I go to Disney and you should have no problem getting all that in there. If the sling bag is not your thing crumpler makes some nice bags, there more of a messanger type of bag, take a look at the six million dollar home from them. Backpacks are another good option Tamrac and Lowepro make some that the camera equpment goes on the bottom and the top part you can use for storage of other items.

I personally use a vest and leave my bag in the car..and I carry more gear than you have listed,,, it makes rides so much easier than a bag..

i brought my canon 40D, my 70-200 L, my 28-135 IS lens, my 50mm 1.4, my 24-105 L, and 2 point and shoot canons including the s3. i put all of it in my lowepro computrekker bag. its a big bag but its comfy. i didnt take my gear on any of the roller coasters i didnt want to shake my slr like that. but i did take it on all of the slow rides with me.

Another happy Slingshot 200 user here. I take my gear with me on all the rides. Including the rapid rides at both DL and WDW and all the coasters. No problems whatso ever. For the raft rides I get a plastic bag and put in over my camera on my wrist to keep it dry.
