Debs website lists what things to ask, but it doesn't tell you what the reaction could be. I've seen pictures of the ketchup, but that's about it. I'm curious! :goodvibes

They had my nieces husband sing to her from all over the restaurant (with mic) and from behind the Christmas tree in the lobby.

They made Disney Grandma eat her broccolli.

Niece was brought all sorts of goofy things b/c it was her birthday.

Tiny tiny cups - - - great big cups

An apron - a chefs hat

HUGE straws

It was a blast.

I knew what was going to happen so I asked for the ketchup so I could see my husbands reaction, but we were the first family seated so we had to pass oin the ketchup to another table later in the evening. The CM's made my DH and I participate in a kissing contest against another couple celebrating an Anniversary the night we were there celebrating our Anniversary (we were laughing so hard :rotfl: we couldn't kiss, so hte other couple won). Our waitress threw the straws and napkins at us, and "slammed" down the plates. It was alot of fun, but my husband made me promise not to ask for ketchup next time we eat there.

PrincessSuzanne princess:

Are we supposed to tell? I cant get blacklisted from WCC for answering this can I? Well I'll risk it.

Once husband grabbed ketchup of an empty table next to us and the CM started hollering about the theif and had the whole place yell at him not to steal.

Another time the CM came back with our check and credit card hollering across the place that our card was accepted.

After the men in the place did the hokey pokey, a CM hollered to everyone that I had good video to blackmail with.

I told DS5 to sit down or I was going to ask for a baby chair. I didn't notice our waitress standing behind us at the next table. She stopped taking their order, leaned in between us, and whispered to DS... "And we'll make HER sit in it!"

DS5 for some reason drew on his cloth napkin with his crayon. She picked it up and very sternly asked him who did it. He looked like he was going to cry and said "I did." She smiled a huge smile and shouted "GREAT IDEA!!!" She then took the crayon, finished the picture, and showed it to everyone in the place!

There was a very pretty little girl on the other side of the restaurant. She shouted "Hey Princess" until the little girl looked at her. Then asked her how old she was. She was 8. DS was 7 at the time and had lost a few teeth. She shouted again "Do you like younger men with no teeth?" and pointed at him. He was really hoping she did!

We also had fun with the straws, ketchup, crayons, etc... We loved it!!!:cheer2:

I had a couple refills and they brought me a gallon jug. When I got up to use the restroom our CM made an anouncement to everyone to get out of my way and to stay away from me at the pool. When they refilled my DW, she said she wanted a little more to drink, they brought out a tiny little glass for her.

This place sounds like a HOOT!!! I have it on our adr "to make" list simply because I know DH will like the food but it sounds like loads of fun, too. I can't wait! :goodvibes

My dh was drinking ice tea and was on his third refill. The next time he got a glass he got a funny look on his face and asked me to taste it because he said it tasted like it had some coffee in it. I tasted it and it definately had some coffee in it. We knew that the cm's deliberately messed with people but figured how could they mess with dh about this? We had never seen the HUGE glasses until the waitress brought it out hooting and hollering about the "trouble maker" at our table, how everyone should make sure there was a clear path to the restroom and if that was going to finally make him happy. We had a blast and now dh actually asks for the large glass. :)

We make sure that WC is our our list of "must eats" while there and that is always our last breakfast before heading home.

When I didn't finish my broccoli, our waiter "Bullfrog" announced to the entire restaurant that I hadn't finished it & then he proceeded to spoon feed it to me while the entire place watched.

He put DD11's hair up in a bun (think Princess Leia from Star Wars) & then put straws (still wrapped in the paper) thru the bun. Then he did it to me too!

Ok.. First off my friedn mentioned to the host that we ( adults) wanted something to color like my DD got so he brought us the whole basket of papers and we had to pass them out to people who came in and people were allowed to come get them from us to color.
My friend asked for a refill .. and had to ask 3 times for it so our waiter looks at her and says " I'll take care of you" and brings her out the gallon jug with a 3 foot straw in it. Then my Dd asked for a water and he brought her this tiny ( like half a cup maybe) jug with the same 3 foot straw in it. DD laughed so hard I thought she was going to pee her pants.
Our waiter also announced to everyone " Princess here is on her 3rd drink.. if you see her in the pool.. get out! and get out of her way if you see her going to the bathroom"
We had to do the hokey pokey.. Some poor guy had to show everyone his big muscles.. we did the famous ketchup run
Oh.. the sent DD to an outside door when she asked where the potty was
And when we left our waiter yelled " watch out everyone.. Princess is going to the restroom" to which we got a room full of applause.
We had a great time here.. we already have our ADR for June. We also had hijinks at 50's Prime Time very similiar to WCC. We had fun there too!

WCC is one of our favorite spots, we always have a blast. The first time we went we didn't have any idea of the antics. My DS was probably only about 5 at the time and very shy and would not ask for things. He was coloring and wanted a yellow crayon for his picture but didn't have one, so we told him that if he wanted one he would have to ask. So he very politely asks for a yellow crayon and of cource the CM yells "my boy needs some more crayons", so every kid in the place brings over their bucket of crayons and we had 21 buckets of crayons.

Of course we have been back many times and had lots of fun everytime, pony races for the kids, they made all the men do some kind of dance, that my wife has video's of. It was never as much fun as that first time when you didn't expect it.

We were celebrating my MIL's bday and they made her run around the room on a wooden stick pony singing happy birthday to herself.

:goodvibes 1st time we were there in 1996...we were totally unaware...we were staying in the hotel..got married there...so one late morning we go for breakfast our server asked us how we were etc...we told her we were on our honeymoon and she made a loud comment about being on our honeymoon and just getting up at 11:00 what had we been up too. DH and I just looked at each other in disbelief...well it was a quiet morning and dont remember much more...4 years later we go back for our anniversary....still no clue..what went on here...I like ketchup on my eggs...asked for ketchup..all of a sudden server yells WHOOOS GOT THE KETCHUP....well the entire restaurant brought us bottles...cases even...they did not fit on the tables...had 2 cases on the chair etc...OMG we were totally surprised and cracking up....Some VERY cool People attending a convention offered to take our pictures with all the ketchup...guess what our camera had run out of batteries...she took our picture with her camera...I gave her our address...a couple of months later a nice suprise...the picture with a nice Mickey card in the mail...I like Disney folk :goodvibes
So now we are on to them...next time we went they made all the men..dh included stand in the front and sing Im a little teapot....well I have never laughed so hard....THIS IS NOW OUR LAST DAY BREAKFAST TRADITION...CANNOT WAIT:yay:

We must have had people bring like 50 bottles of
ketchup over....

Served the ice water in a large vase...
Lots o fun
Kerri

In addition to things already mentioned, the waiter got into a straw blowing fight (where you blow the end of the straw wrapper off at the other person) with our then 5 year old ds. He pretended that ds "shot his eye out". Then he let ds and dd chase him all around the restaurant

I can't say we loved the food, but we had so much fun there that we ate there 4 times in a week.

WCC is one of our very favorites! Things that have happened to us include:

DD getting all the ketchup. She didn't even ask for any--our server just thought she looked like she needed some fun. I have a great picture of the next woman who asked for ketchup--dd and some other kids started taking it over to her and she got really snippy and said, "I only need ONE." She looks like such a pill in this picture--it makes me happy that she's memorialized in our scrapbook from that trip! :rotfl2:

I wore a Disneyland shirt and they kept announcing me to newly arrived guests by saying, "This lady is lost. She took a wrong turn at Albuquerque!"

One server showed dd a card trick. After he left, she asked me how he did it. I explained it to her quietly and the server, who was roughly FIVE TABLES away from me somehow heard me and started yelling, "Trick Ruiner!! You're not David Blaine!" He called me Trick Ruiner all night.:rotfl:

A boy at the table next to us was celebrating his 14th birthday. After making him sing while riding the hobby horse, they brought out a piece of cake with a candle. They sang to him, then each server pulled a fork from behind their back, grabbed the piece of cake and each person took a huge bite. Leaving none for the birthday boy. The look on that poor kid's face was priceless! (They did bring him another piece so happiness was restored!) :rotfl2:

These servers are so fun--we've got another reservation for next month and we can't wait!

Whispering Canyon is our family’s favorite restaurant in all of Disney World. A trip is not complete without going here.

One year we went for our son’s 5th birthday. They made DW sing “Happy Birthday” to him while running around the room on a stick horse.

I had to take him to the bathroom and when we returned, the waiter asked where I went. I told him to the bathroom. He asked me what color the soap was. I said I didn’t know. I didn’t go just DS, so I didn’t wash my hands. So he yells across the room “This guy went to the bathroom and didn’t wash his hands!!”

Other things we’ve had done, heard, or seen:
Waitstaff taking cell phone from customers and talking to the other person.
Setting up young boys with young girls from a different table.
Straw throwing.
Napkin waving.
LARGE glasses of drinks for refills.
Waiter yelling “This is his 3rd serving of beans!”

LOVE this place!!

Yeah, I've seen them do that as well. Very funny!! :rotfl2:

We once had a server who threw about 50 packs of wet wipes at us and all over our table. Then, when the meal was over, she brought the check...to DS, who was 15 months old at the time! My then 3 yr old DD thought the funniest thing was the bill being brought to the baby.
