What fun things do you do to prepare for dl?

Lie, lie, lie .... This is my dd's 3rd trip to disneyland and hopefully the 3rd surprise trip. We fly into Vegas (way cheaper) and will meet my parents (also a surprise). We are then going to Disneyland for 4 days which is also a surprise as my daughter thinks we are going to Vegas for a week!

Other than elaborate lying , we have been watching disney movies, looking at old pictures, watching youtube videos, disney planning cd, and family videos all under the pretense of talking about our trip to Florida next winter.

ahh! She is going to LOVE it!!!!

Ok remind me when I'm done - they're a little unorganized right now!

Right now I'm telling rather tall tales about how we are going to visit Grandma who lives in the Gulf Islands to the kids and feeling somewhat guilty about the elaborateness of the lies. Little do they realize that we are driving down to DL as of late Saturday afternoon. I had to lie, as I'm pulling them out of school for 2 weeks, and had to explain it some how, and the Grandma lie was the most convienent one. I'm over planned as usual, and just in the process of cleaning house in prep for leaving.

Finished ours.. I tacked it up on the wall.. Was thinking of printing pictures of the rides with height adjustments and putting them in those spots to Disney it up a bit

Wow... I have never been on the DL forum. I spend most of my time on the DCL forum even though we are from AZ and go to DL once a month (except summer time. Way too crowded)
I plan plan, but we watch Netflix Behind the scenes Disneyland everynight before we go. We listen to our Ride music and the parade music. (I have connections!) Mondays, check the micechat forum for a picture of what I have missed in the last week. And ALWAYS buy a churro.

if I could I would post my pic of my disneyland countdown board but alas I can't post pics. My daughters help me with the tip envelops. All they need is $$ in them. This time we included a short note that says "thanks for helping us to make our vaction magical - the Jones Family" Each envelope has a different disney font and color. This year we used stickers for scrap booking instead of downloading clips and printing them.

We are so excited even tho it is sooo fall away. I did go through Disney Travel - today i added three character breakfasts to our package.

So have fun and may it be magical!!
