My daughter will be working Full Service Food & Bev. Just wondering what you guys have done in that role and how did you like it?:)

Wow, no replies yet?:confused3

I guess nobody here has worked FS or they're just afraid to talk about it.:rotfl:

You won't find many CP's who worked in Full Service F&B - they are just few and far between. You might be better posting on an Employment board somewhere.

Really? Is there a reason why there aren't that many? :confused3

Probably because most positions in a FS restaurant are tipped. And CPs aren't supposed to receive tips (in theory, anyway. There are plenty of CP positions which do earn tips but you technically are supposed to refuse them.) That means that the only position CPs could work would be as a seater/greeter and there aren't that many openings of that positions across property. I know a few of people who worked Cinderellas Royal Table on their CP. So that's one possibility for your DD! :thumbsup2

Thanks - that's what she's doing - hostessing. I'm sure seating in CRT would make her day! She'll find out this week!:)

You will find CPs at Full Service. But they do not work as servers. They work in the front as a hostess. That is what I did. I worked at the Hollywood Brown Derby as a hostess. I signed in guests, seated them, occasionally assigned tables and bussed tables and assisted the servers during extrememly busy times.

The job duties vary by restaurant. At Hollywood and Vine where I helped out a few times the hostesses did all I said above and ran silverware, folded napkins, cleaned the buffet and other duties. It really depends on the restaurant.

Thanks so much. We're leaving today to drive her and her car down there.:)

I worked at Chef Mickeys as a hostess during my cp program (sept07 - jan08)
