I have always worn sneakers in the parks but I was wondering if I might try wearing sandals this time. I would love not to have to wear socks, etc. I'd like to know what other disers experiences have been with footwear. I was thinking of getting a new pair of Tevas and was wondering if they would be comfortable for a whole day of WDW walking. :cool1:

I have always worn Tevas to all of my Disney trips. It's nice that I have never had blister problems from Tevas, and it's also very convenient that it makes no difference if they get wet (those Florida rain storms put the ones here in Oregon to shame).
My whole family has them ready to go when we leave in three weeks!

i wore running shoes last year and got awful blisters, my feet are way too wide if im not actually running. this year i wore my horrible airwalks but they were actually ok.

Clarks are great, for me. They have a style out called 'springers' which I love.
I have the reg shoe and have bought the sandals they have out too.
Go to zappo.com or shoebuy.com and check 'em out. Just type in Clarks's.
Actually any Clarks will do, but don't go with the Indigo style, they're trying to get 'hip' and they just don't have the comfort and/or support as the originals. Also, try and get a sandal with a back strap on it. I had on a pair of flip flop style and the CM at Soarin' was insisting I take my shoes off so I don't loose 'em.

My daughter and I both wore a few different types of sandals last September and we had no problems. My husband insisted on socks and sneakers and he definitely wasn't as comfortable. Maybe this September I can talk him in to buying some sandals for the trip.

I'm wearing my Crocs Athens on my trip next month. I have them in white and brown and they are SO comfortable. I bought my boyfriend the black ones but he hasn't tried them on yet.

I always wear sneakers, and I get blisters and my feet swell and are just overall in pain at the end of the day. My feet never get roughed up enough to the point where i can wear sandals comfortably. They just get cracked and bleed, but never get hard (I guess this would be callouses) to where the leather won't continue to cut me. That said, I'm going to try it again in July. It's just too darn hot to be wearing sneakers. I found these little sock tubes that just go across the middle of your foot so the sandals won't rub. I'm going to see how that works.

$10 sandals work great for me! I just stop down to my local Target before I go.

I never get any blisters, and I have extra cash to spend on other items for the trip.

Whatever you decide, pack another option. I had only one pair of shoes on one trip and paid the price. Good luck

I've found that the ONLY comfortable thing for me is sneakers. I like my Adidas better than my Nikes. They're much more comfortable and don't hurt my feet at all. I've worn sandals before, but only to Downtown Disney, and they almost killed my poor feet, so I said never again!

I just bought 2 pair of REEF filp flops. OMG they are the most comfotable thing I have ever put on my feet!!!!!

I tryd tevas but they rubbed my foot. Crocs or payless version airwalks seamed really comphy too, but the 9s were to small on my feet and the 10's were huge. It really is a mtter pr person preference. Good luck on the search

Crocs (Beach) we went to Disney in March and I have always before wore tennis shoes. Never again, the Crocs were great!! :thumbsup2 My feet did not hurt, sweat, or blister and I did not wear socks. I wore them every day and it was great. I was a skeptic at first thought they were soooo ugly, but I have been reformed. My DD's 10 and 8 wore them, too. And they had no problems either!!

I swear by my Clarks. I make sure I bring at least 3 pairs to rotate. Came in handy when Epcot was flooded above my ankles and ruined my navy pair. I just bought a new pair within the last 2 weeks with the sole intention of breaking them in before my trip. I should have known that they didn't need to be broken in, but it was my excuse.

I always depend on my SAS sandals. I wear them every single trip and have never ever had a blister or any kind of sore feet. I loveeeeeeeeeeee my SAS's. They are expensive though :-(

I have a few pairs of Merrell sandals that are just as comfortable as my sneakers. The only time I wear my sneakers now is if it's cold or raining.

My oldest DD and I both had pairs of Salomon Techamphibian shoes that we got from zappos.com
They were expensive at $84, but are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They are made of a mesh and you can wear them either with or without socks. Comfortable either way. I usually end up with sore heels, but no problem in these shoes.

I have worn flip flops and sneakers in the parks. The flip flops are much more comfortable, my feet don't sweat and swell and they usually don't hurt so much at the end of the day. But I wear flip flops all the time, too. I guess if you aren't used to them they may not be comfy to you. :sunny:

A friend recommended Chacos sandles and I recently purchased a pair. The straps adjust all the way around your foot so they are a good fit for most foot types. I bought them on ebay but you can get them on zappos.com as well. They are suppose to dry fast if they get wet as well. I have been wearing them everywhere all week and so far so good. I am going to buy a pair of crocs too since everyone around here loves them.
