Two things; Sushi and falafel! Okay, three things....spinach, especially spanakopita. My husband grew up on a farm w/ nothing but traditional. I grew up in a big 10 college town where there is so much to choose from. He thinks I am weired and refuses to eat much of what I wish I could make for dinner.

I'm not sure how I'd describe them, sort of like little black sea snails. After you collect them, you boil them up in a pan, take a sewing needle and eat them that way. I think the proper name might be periwinkles, but they're just winkles to us over here
I love dried seaweed, dried squid jerky, smoked octopus snacks, mini flash fried crabs shell and all, anchovies. Whenever I eat any of that, Joe tells me to get away because it makes my breath STINK like a fish market apparently.
Another liver eater here...liverwurst, too (with onions and mustard on toasted rye). I doubt there is anything I eat that could gross out this thread, just my DW. She won't even eat Pork Roll.
Do people really think sushi is nasty nowadays? [And do they still ingnorantly assume that all sushi contains raw fish?]
I spent 1977 - 1982 in Hawaii and I love sushi and especially love sashimi (which is the raw fish). I even got my Virginia-native DH to try sashimi and he loves it now, too.
I have the same aversion to vinegar. Just the smell of it used to make me nauseous. It's gotten less over the years. But I still don't like it. *BLECH*
I DO, however enjoy:
Braunschweiger
Chicken Livers
Spam
Vegemite on toast (have an Aussie friend who introduced this to me)
Lima Beans
Brussel Sprouts
Spinach
I'm NOT a very picky eater, so there really isn't much that I won't eat. THere are many things I've never tried, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't like them.
