What Exactly Should I Say In A Room Request Fax?

I'm flying out Sunday for Pop Century & when I booked the room I requested two non-smoking, connecting, 50's Building, fireworks view rooms. Is that the same information I need to send in a room request fax since I don't have a certain room # that I'm requesting?

As long as you have your requests on your reservation, you should be all set.

The faxes seem to be, for the most part, discouraged now, if not down right ignored.

That's a lot to ask for in a request. Most resorts are ignoring faxes these days. If there is something that is really important be sure to have it in your reservation.

Basicly, you are asking for 50's C (it's the only 50's that faces the parks). Keep in mind the "fireworks" are going to be distant flashes - it's not very close.

You have varied and complex room requests, and likely will not get all of them. The chances that they will have a room when you arrive in that exact building with those exact features isn't very good. Not impossible, but not likely.

As safetymom said, most resorts don't do the fax thing anymore. It needs to be part of your ressie.

Good luck, but don't get your heart set on anything but non-smoking and connecting rooms. The more specific you are the less your chances are.

The best idea isn't to request a room so specificly, but tell them what features you want and let them find the best place. It also helps to prioritize with them your most important requests so they can fill them as best as possible.

I'm with the others, faxed requests are discouraged by the hotels now.
Too many people were sending them I guess.

I was told by a CM that if they get a list of room requests for a guest they attempt to fulfill the FIRST one. Can you imagine them sitting down and going thru someones entire list of requests to try to fill every one of your desires?

I had sent a fax to POR about 5 days before our arrival and we got exactly what we asked for. I just said we would 'like'..... a couple of listed items. I just asked politely and non-demanding.
