what exactly is home confinement?

Martha got five months in club fed and an additional five months of home confinement... I could think of worse homes to be confined to ; )

If she were normal, would she be allows to work outside the home during that time, being confined only nights and weekends? With her lifestyle all of her work and people could come to her, but what if she were a regular Jane?

first hand knowledge of this one..lol!..my new step son in law is under house arrest following a 3 month jail sentence for DUI..serves him right..no pity from me..however, I digress
They have a special bracelet on his leg..and a box that sits on the tv..that monitors his movements..you are allowed to go to work..but you must call and tell them when you are leaving..how long it will take you to get there..you must call when you leave and when you get home..you may also go to doctor's appts and your parole officer's office..you can't go anywhere else that I am aware of..in son in law's case..it also costs you $ to be on house arrest..something like $55 a week!
Maybe Miss Martha will get special permission with hers..but not if it's like 'normal' house arrest!

I know this is off subject a bit but I heard on the news last week that a young girl under house arrest was able to get her leg brace off and glued it on a cat!

My best friends father was under house arrest for 6-12 months awhile back. Many times they also call your home randomly everyday. If he was on the phone they would interrupt it with a beeping noise or they cut in like an operator I think. It was really odd.

I also don't think house arrest for MS will be too rough in her mansion. She probably won;t be able to use her pool.

well as I heard on NPR the other day... if they REALLY want to punish her they should sentence her to confinement at MY house!!! THAT would be punishment!

Punishment for you or for her? Confinement for her at my house would be punishment for BOTH of us. Although I'm sure I would provide her with plenty of raw material.
