What exactly is "bounce back"?

We are going in about a month and I've heard about "bounce back". What exactly is "bounce back"?

I know you have to decide while you are there, right?

I know that I'd like more than 6 nights if I want to spend another $4000 on a family vacation, so if you can help me out, I'd appreciate any information.

Bounceback is a promotion Disney does to get people to "bounce back" to Disney for their next vacation...they want you to book reservations for rooms during the slower parts of the Disney year (parts of Jan-May, parts of August-Dec.) The offer is usually a percentage off room rates (30-40%) for specific dates. Not all resorts are available for all dates...you just have to "shop" it when you call. To get the offer, you have to reserve before you check out of your hotel room. There is usally a flyer in your room when you check in; also can see the offers on the hotel channel of your room's t.v.

The dates do not include the usual popular vacation times (no holidays, not available during typical Spring break or Easter time, no Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years.)

Can you get the "Free Dining" thing?

That's not announced until about April or so. Some feel that the free dining, if offered next year, will be a different dining plan for free.

Not sure of DDP but this marketing-sales campaign is designed to capture people during the height of their Disney vacation exitement to have you make a future financial decision..hyped by your emotions. Beware not all of the Bounce back offerings are great savings.

I've never done a bounce back before, but I'll be there in a couple of weeks and Im thinking about it, if offered. But I'll need more than one room for our trip next year, so has anyone ever booked more than one room with a bounce back, or is it just one room only.

We'll be at Disney from Dec. 18-23. Do you think we'll have a bounce back offer? I could just kick myself for never paying attention to the flyers in the rooms before. We usually go at least once a year to Disney so I know I've had to have passed up a bounceback before.

I don't recall any of this information in our room - we stayed at CSR - could there have been a mistake or does it not include CSR?

The last two times I have stayed at WDW resorts (November '07 at CSR and last week at AKL), there have been bounceback flyers in the rooms. If they aren't in there, call the room ressie number from your room and ask.

I'm sure you can book more than one room with the BB offer for your own family. This last visit, I was also booking a future room for my folks and could not get the BB discount for them, but I did get them a Fla. resident discount that was almost as good.

No no no...free dining bounceback is one offer. 30-40% off the room is another offer. Although for this upcoming free dine bounceback there will be select discounted rooms for the first time ever
