What exactly is baked ziti?

This may not be the place to ask this question. I was looking at photos of the baked ziti from the Italy restaurant at Epcot. What is baked ziti?? It looks good!

Usually baked ziti is a flatish tube pasta baked with either tomato sauce or pink sauce and different types of chesse. I use mozerella and parm. Add italian spices to taste and you have Baked Ziti.

The short answer: ziti is a pasta (like macaroni without the twist). Baked Ziti is basically pasta and "spaghetti" sauce, put in a casserole, covered with cheese, and baked.

tube shaped pasta mixed with tomato sauce, ricotta cheese, mozzerella cheese and parmesan cheese ,then baked until cheese melts. Oh what a great dish. Served with italian bread and a glass of chianti wine
