What exactly is a Bounceback?

I'm assuming that its an offer you receive while you are staying to book another trip w/ a discount? Are these usually a good deal? We didn't get a code for our October trip so we would love to have some kind of discount for our next trip.

Thanks, Karen

Bounceback seems to be a good deal, if your dates & resort choices match up with the offer. The offer we saw did not allow for Value resorts, and did exclude holiday times...basically was for very slow times at WDW.

In May 2008, the offer was for "select" Disney Villas (40% off), "select" Deluxe or Moderate Resorts (30% off) for dates between August 10 and December 13...but Sept 28-October 18 and November 2-8, and Nov 16-Nov 29 were not included (holidays & other special things going to fill rooms on those times so no special promotions were available during those times.)

You had to book the room by calling the reservation number from your hotel room before you checked out.

I dont think it is just for slow times. Our bounceback was for Oct 19th until Nov 2nd. That is considered regular season....

Is this offer left on a pamphlet it your room? I ask because last September when we were there I found out after I got home that I could have booked Free Dining for this year while I was there but never saw anything mentioning it while I was there. If I don't see anything should I ask?

We have bounced back the last 3 years. It is booked prior to checking out for a future visit the following year, generally during the same time period as free dining and usually having a few days after the general public deadline is for free dining. It is usually on the Disney TV station in your room, or when you check out always ask if they have the bounceback offer. Good times to get bounceback times are Mid August through September, and they have also offered bounceback in January. This is not offered year round.
Bounce Back just means you are getting free dining, which has been offered in April, but you get a jump start on that crowd and preference of resort. We have only stayed in Value resorts.

YES. It never hurts to ask. Maybe the flyer was lost or misplaced. The offer was also on the resort channel on TV. The bounceback offered last year had a longer date span. The last first day of stay was, I believe, Sept 29 not Sept 20 as was with the Visa and General Public offer. Also, I assume a greater number of rooms were still in the pool. Never hurts to ask. The worst they can say is sorry no bounceback offers!!
