Just wondering what are the activities that are organized for DIScon and what is the cost.

I REAAAAALLLLLLYYYY want to go down for DIScon 3 but have to persuade my DH.

So everybody, let my DH know what crazy fun DIScon can be...:p

The "Official" start was Tuesday. There were people there beforehand, they did a resort tour to see the Christmas docor. Some met up for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Some did the MVMCP, some got together and rode thrill rides, or the Safari ride marathon, or the Cheesy rides. There was a small amount of imbibing done at the Rose and Crown, some activities were cut short due to RAIN, but did continue later inside. There was karaoke, hoop-de-doo, 50s Prime Time Cafe, Osborne Lights. Just everything. THe big thing was a special Illuminations Dessert Party, and then the closing dinner at the mystery theatre at the Grovsnenor Resort.

All in all, there were about 200 + people there, meeting, hugging, riding, walking, just really having fun. If you wanted to do stuff, you did, if you wanted to do alone time, that was OK too.

I hope there will be Discon III !!!!!

There are a zillion pictures posted here, just look back at the last 30 days or so.

A typical day for me at DISCon.....

Up early, eat a little breakfast and head out to hook up with some DISers. Some mornings I was meeting these foks for the first time. Fairly nervous, but more excited about finally meeting some very good DIS friends. After a nice hug, off to one of the parks for early entry.

At the parks I discover that the DISers I'm with are every bit the 'kid at hear' in Disney that I am. We are kindred spirits. We laugh and take in the attractions, talking a mile a minute as we go from place to place.

Every now and then we spy lime green ribbons and stop to meet and chat with other DISers.

I've planned to attend some of the mini-meets. Each of these are absolutely wonderful. Dozens, and sometimes many more DISers all in one place. The chatter and laughter is really, really something. A chance to put faces to names and share in a great deal of fun and laughter.

Interspersed with this are wonderful meals. Sometimes with large groups, other times with just another DISer or two. They are great times. A chance to spend some time with some very special people.

The parks close relatively early this time of year. We all head off to Jellyrolls or Kimonos.

What a hoot! I'm even convinved to step up and do karaoke. TWICE! It's a blast seeing everyone having so much fun.

Off to bed to catch a few hours sleep before getting up to do it again.

The last day is the saddest. Saying goodbye.

The boards are great. A real treasure trove of good times and fun. But meeting these folks at Disney World is very, very special.

You'd be hard pressed to find a nicer group, or to have a better time.

I can't really say it better than Bernie has above. That sums it up so very well. :sunny:

Wow, Bernie...great description! I was at both DIS-CONS...and they were really wonderful times with fun friends. :)
