I would stick with POP too especially since it is such a short, one night stay! I have never been to POP but it is actualyl on my "to-do" list because it just looks neat. And I have heard good things about the food court.
I find it so hard to pack clothes for a cruise! I am never satisfied with what I have!
Costumes and decisions! Ugh!! If it were me I would be doing the Halloween t-shirt thing but that is only because it is the easy route!!![]()
I have had such a hard time packing. I am giving up until Monday. Maybe it will come to me next week. Nothing I have seems to fit what I want it to be.
I am actually looking foward to Pop. I would love if DH loved it so I don't have to pay so much for a resort in the future.
I think you are smart to stick with Pop. It is only a night and you won't be in the room much. The Poly was always our favorite deluxe (well, it was until we stayed at the AKL), but for one night, it just is not worth it.
Have you gone to the cruise boards about clothes for the trip? There are a lot of helpful hints there I am told.
I have been checking the cruise boards. I think I have an idea of what I need. I just need to get organized.
I need to save the Poly for at least a few nights. It wouldn't be right to stay there and not see Wishes from the beach or be able to eat at Kona.
Since you are taking a shorter cruise you don't need to worry about "dressing up" as there is no formal night. The main rule is no shorts or jeans in the dining room and even then they don't really enforce that.
The dress code is "cruise casual".
For men the basic staples for the dining room are a pair of khaki's/dockers and a nice shirt (polo, button-up, etc).
For women, a casual dress, skirt, nice pants and a top. Nothing too dressy if you don't want.
If you are going to eat at Palo you will need formal clothing.
Nothing fancy but not what you would wear slumming around the house.
Remember room service is free but take some singles to tip the attendant who delivers it.
If you don't want to eat in the dining room one night there are lots of options up on the pool deck and there is the buffet.
Thanks for the tips

I'm glad you mentioned the singles too. Add that to the list of things I need.
add me to the list of jealous!
I am starting to get a bit nervous. Can't wait until all the planning is over and we are on the ship.
Oh wow! I would have never thought about the clothes. I live in my shorts or jeans and polo style shirts. I would need a whole new wardrobe to go on a cruise.
I can't believe you go in just 8 days. How exciting!!!
I do need new wardrobe. I live in jeans and tshirts and then wear scrubs at work. I have tons of nice black shirts and nice black skirts but I can't wear those together. Plus I want my clothes to coordinate with Caitlins and everything she has is pink. It has been hard to find many adult pink shirts that are nice looking.
