What exactly are "Cal King" sheets?

I just ordered a beautiful duvet set on overstock.com and I have ordered my sheets from them as well in the past. I have a King size bed and noticed that they offer "cal king" sheets....what is that? Bigger? No idea..please advise!

FYI - King size waterbeds use California King sheets.

We have a cal king because DH is 6'6", the sheets are impossible to find in a store... so I usually have to order them.

We have a cal king too - I can never find them locally so I always order from JCPenney or OverStock.

Cal King here, too. I got the nicest flannel sheets from QVC, memory foam topper from Overstock. I wish someone would make Cal King blankets and electric blamkets, kings just never work right. I bought my current and past bed in a bag set from Linens and Things online. If you live in AZ you can find that size in almost every department store, but out here I asked about them at LNT and the girl said, this isn't California, why would we have that size?
