What else to say to the characters???

This thread is so funny! I'll be going to WDW for the 1st time next September and look forward to meeting a few characters myself!

last year at AK we were at Donalds Breakfast, we had our pal Mickey on the table and when Donald saw it he started getting really angry. I told him I had wanted a "My pal Donald" but couldnt find one in the shops. He started trying to agree with me a making funny looks toward Mickey as if we werent the only people who had asked for a "My pal Donald".

When we ran into Pluto, we told him we have a pretty female black lab at home and she loves Pluto. He perked up a lot.

At Ohana it was off season, and slow at 8am we were about the only ones there. I had a stitch pin on my lanyard, so as we were being seated... stitch followed right along, sat down with us and started banging the coffee cup. We asked him what's a stitch, and he stole me hat and my camera and took pics of us.

when we meet tigger, I was singing the tigger song... we did the doce doe and pooh and piglet came over to join in, my partner noticed that eeyore was just standing to one side and shouted what about eeoyre, so piglet, pooh, tigger and me joined hands in a ring around eeyore and did the ring around the mullberry bush kinda thing... again this was during the slow season, and no one else was around.

Whenever we see Captain Hook, My DD always asks "Where's Mr. Smee?" Captain Hook then makes a motion with his hands as if he's mopping/swabbing the deck. Makes us laugh every time.

when we ran into Capt. Hook and Mr. Smee I had a tinker belle on my lanyard, can't get your pic taken with hook and smee with tinker belle on, so took it off, but while signing the autograph book Smee hid it, and started to wonder off with it, before I told him I'd make him walk the plank, and capt hook didn't like that, he is the only one that makes someone walk the plank.

Ok this is a tad bit embarrassing but it got my friend to laugh. I had searched & searched to find my favorite princess Cinderella last year. I tracked her down at the Judges Tent at Toontown Fair & got in line. I'm a 25 year old man & I just wanted to see Cinderella(long story) so here I am with all these little kids & i'm not sure what the princesses thought of me. Aurora seemed kinda put off by me & Snow White was really sweet. I met Cindy on my birthday & she asked if I was getting all my wishes for my birthday, I told her that unfortunately my wish was back at home....she smiled & said I hope that dream comes true & gave me a hug. I know it sounds weird but that memory stuck with me & I am happy to say that I had it. Now feel free to laugh but I just wanted to meet Cinderella.

I was at Liberty Tree Tavern once when Chip came by and I told him he was my favorite chipmunk. He held his hand over his heart as if he was in love and kissed my cheek and the top of my head and held my hand. Then he hugged my sister and my sister said, "Why did you just hug me? You kissed her!"

I told her that he only loved me and Chip nodded. Then my mom brought up Clarice and I said, "Wait, you don't love her, do you? You love me, right?" Chip looked at me, put a hand on my shoulder, then slowly shook his head, indicating that he was "breaking up with me." I told him it can't be over :sad1: but he turned and walked away slowly. It was too funny!

Last fall on Halloween at Mickey's Halloween Treat in DCA my 4 kids dressed as the 4 Pevensie children were wearing lots of glow jewelry I had bought them and Alice and the Mad Hatter made the "Pevensie" children line up and be the Electrical Parade it was lots of fun!!!

My dd told me that the next time she see Cinderella she is going to ask her if glass slippers are comfortable or if they pinch.

I thought that was a pretty good question.

Now I just hope she gets to use it soon.

We saw the wicked queen at MGM. I told my daughter to ask her if she had an apple.

My little one was so afraid of her. She was really into the character.

Well, I should have told Aladdin, when he asked where my shiny ring came from, "I stole it from Jaafar", but, stupid me, I said, "Walmart". He said, "Oh, Wal-marketplace, you mean?" I forgot to keep him in character. *rolls eyes*

:rotfl2: That's so funny!

My favorite characters (I mean the ones you can meet in the parks.. I love Simba/Nala/Jack Sparrow but you can't meet them :sad1: ) are Piglet, Snow White, Stitch, and Goofy. I won't lie, I have a mini crush on Goofy! :love2: I always wanted to say something "flirty" like "I have a huge crush on you!" but that just sounds unoriginal. What's something cute/flirty - but not in a creepy way haha! - I could say to him?

How about........"I just looooove the way your teeth protrude and that gap between them drives me insane and makes me want to take your floppy ears and run them between my fingers. "
Wait, that would be a little creepy if said the wrong way.
Hey you asked.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I asked Mary Poppins if she had any advice to help convince my DD6 (at the time) to keep her room clean.

She looked down at my daughter and she said, "Oh dear, maybe the wind will just blow in that direction".

So, every now and then I ask her (she's now almost 9) if the wind has blown through her room yet....sometimes it's better than nagging!:goodvibes

I accidentally called Pluto 'Goofy'. This while manning the hand camera, and video camera, during a character meal and assuring my child 4 year old that was climbing on me in awe/fear it was all "o.k."

He kept shaking his paw at me, and pointing at his name badge scolding me, and my 6 year old goes "Mom, that is not Goofy, that is Pluto" I had to give a heartfelt apology. He kept looking back at me while moving to the the next table and just shaking his head at me.

It was really funny.

My favorite character interaction was when Mulan asked me if I thought my sons(10 & 11) would make good warriors. I said, "Gee I really don't know. I never gave it much thought." She replied with, "Well. let's find out, drop and give me 15." They had to do 15 pushups with Mushu. It was priceless. When they were done, whe told them that they would make fine soldiers. I was loving every minute of it! :rotfl2:

You can meet him. Right outside Pirates, after his show, sometimes he makes a reappearance. :)

Yum. I saw his "How To Be A Pirate" Tutorial last time, but he ran off somewhere and did not sign autographs. Is he signing now? Or still doing the show period?

We once told Ariel that we were from Ohio, and she told us our arms must have been tired after such a long swim!

Another time, my dad had had a conversation with Peter Pan and how they had grown up in the same area of the country. Later, we found him again, and my dad wanted to know if it was the same Peter. He asked him where he was from, but Wendy jumped in and gave Peter a nasty look and said, "Neverland, OF COURSE." My dad got a kick out of that. :)

A few years ago, I was 11 at the time, I was in line with my mom and brother (5), waiting for the Playhouse Disney Bear in the Big Blue House Show. There was a young woman who had a few mentally disabled children with her. My mom works with mentally disabled children as part of her job so my brother and I started talking to them and playing with them while we waiting in line. The young woman thought it was so nice, and it turns out she was Belle in the Beauty and the Beast show! She was taking these kids around the park as part of a special program they have at Disney. She invited us to her performance later in the day.
We got there a little late and had to take a seat pretty far back, but she looked amazing playing Belle on stage. After the show we went up to the CMs and they took us to a walkway next to the stage and Belle came out in full costume with some of the other characters and we spent a good 15 minutes talking and getting autographs. It was amazing!
I asked her how she changed so quickly during the show into her beautiful gown but she wouldn't answer, just said something about the magic of Disney.
It was great because you never know how you'll be rewarded just for being nice and friendly at Disney!
