Soooo I've started ordering and buying things for our trip..

~ so far DD and I have some new items for our Disney wardrobe
~ After the post about Crocs I ordered DD and I some (6pm.com had a great sale.. about $13 for each pair)
~ Ponchos.. Just in case of rain, and for Water rides

What else should I get ahead of time?

I also carry a mini first aid kit with me or at least some band aids, hand sanitizer or wipes for dirty or messy hands. sunglasses? Glow bracelets or necklaces. They sell them at the dollar store and target in the dollar section. I would hit up your local dollar store and target to see what disney items they had.

I try to buy a few small Disney items ahead of time... Dollar Store or Target's $1 section. If your DD is into souvenirs, it's a great way to save some money. Don't forget glow bracelets/sticks/necklaces, too!

THANKS!! These are all great suggestions!

Does wardrobe mean Disney clothing?

For a 5yo you can probably find some good deals on Disney clothing off Amazon.

Maybe a princess outfit too.

Autograph book or lanyards?

HAHA yea :) I got her a couple new shirts and an ariel costume but still need to figure out what I want to do as far as pants lol

She is going to use the same one as last time, and I still ahve my lanyard :)

We go up a day early and go into the world of disney and pick up a few things so we are ready for the next day. It also gives us time to enjoy DTD. Which never happens since we spend all day in Disneyland.

I wish I could do that. We have one of the discount temporary stores about 45 minutes away from us. I really just need a new autograph book for Ayden. I just don't want to drive that far to find out they are out of them. They are just so expensive at the park.

I wanted to make one wit a page for each characater to sign that has there picture on it. It just got out of control and expensive. I think we would be better off getting one in the park

I ordered her's online last time. I wanted to make sure she had it before entering the park. I have to get her a new hat too.

OOoOoO I like that idea!!! EXCEPT... What if you don't see that character on the visit?

Aside from what has already been listed I’ve always carry a mini first aid kit, Rolaids (sometimes park food can upset the tummy), Advil and children's Tylenol, travel tissue, wipes for hands and face. I’m sure there is more but I am drawing a blank. I pretty much take all but the kitchen sink with me. :rotfl2:

...good call...dd then 6 came down with a low grade temperature and ear ache while we were in CA . I went into on of the little shops facing mickey's wheel; they did not carry anything but they immediately got on the phone and found out where I could buy some....turns out Greetings carried it behind the counter you had to ask for it.

That will be on my pack list this time; this was a good reminder I had forgtotten that one.

If you mean the outlet in Vacaville, when I was there last month, I didn't even see autograph books. I agree with you that it's not worth the 45 minute drive just on the off chance that they will have some in stock. I wasn't all that impressed by the discounts this time either. If you were just getting an autograph book, I doubt you would save anything if you factor in the price of gas.

The one time I attempted something like this, I just bound together a bunch of blank pages. I put borders on the pages using markers and cute Disney stickers. Then I decorated the cover in a special way. When we were in the parks, the boys just opened to whatever first blank page they could find and had the character sign. Then we could add any titles, text, and pictures when we got home. The project to this day remains unfinished (and the boys are "too old" to get autographs these days) but the potential was there. Also, not having the pages pre-labelled helped speed the whole signing process along, which I'm sure all the other people waiting in line appreciated.

We like to have baseball card holders-the clear hard plastic kind to keep our tickets/APs and fastpasses all in one place and so they stay dry. Also pack lots of Ziplocs. They come inhandy for everything, but we put phones/wallets inside for Grizzly/Splah. Can you tell my group loves water rides? ;)
