What else is going for at AKL besides the animals?

Thanks wildernesslodgelover! I think I will do that! Eat at Boma or Jiko. I'm sure I will like AKL with the PV. I can almost tell you, I am going to be like you. You love AKL, but your heart is set for WL for the boat ride to MK and the great location. So close to the other MK resort, so if you ever want to dine there, just hop on the boat to MK and take the boat to either Poly or GF or direct boat to CR. The lake, the gyser...everything you can see in the courtyard view. Breathaking! OY! Stop! Let me stop talking about WL! Or I might end up getting a room at WL next year instead of AKL! Well... maybe a split stay would do!!

I always keep my positive attitude. I always have an open mind and an open heart. Ready to take in all the "magic" and ~*~pixie Dust~*~ that comes my way!

septbride-I had the african stew in the bread bowl at Mara also, and I agree, it ROCKED! I was blown away that something so good and unique would be at a counter service place! I also LOVE Victoria Falls....mmmm...the vodka martinis were to delish! I also sat at the little bar inside of Jiko...to the right of the podium. The bartenders were so friendly there (can't say the same for the bartenders at VF...both times they were a bit gruff.)

I saw on another post that you do not care for the WL, and I cannot understand why, cuz it seems like you and I have similar tastes. Did you have a bad experience there, or just not care for the theming?

There is a lot to do! Storytelling at night by a fire,enjoying the great pool,etc. I would recommend this hotel!

You can take a free lobby tour at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Very informative and fun! Plus you get to see numerous Hidden Mickeys.
