What else beside Disney Resorts

OK.. so i hear alot about different resorts at Disney for DVC members, Disneyland, disney paris, London, Disney Cruise Line... what / where else is the DVC membership good for.
Can anybody give me a brief list of where else DVC is good for ?

There isn't a brief list because through exchanges, DVC can be used at resorts literally all over the world.

Once i become a member, will disney sent me a book or some sort that will provide me with the list or place i can use the points for ??

Yes, you will get plenty of information, including a world map with locations of exchange resorts. You will also get access to the member website, which has that information available.

Your points might work elsewhere but I wouldn't tell a prospective member that DVC is "good for" anything but staying at your home resort.

Right, anything other than your home resort is done through an exchange and not guaranteed to be available. (Well, it isn't guaranteed that there will be availibility at your home resort, but I would imagine it's very likely if you book during the beginning of the 11-month window)

You can also go to Interval International's site and look at the resorts that trade through II. Just remember that the Westins, Marriotts, and certain resorts/areas are popular with their own members (just like DVC) and if you want to exchange, put your request in early and have a backup plan just in case.
