What DVC resort do you NOT like?

It's gotta be BWV. We just don't care to stay there. We'd prefer OKW or VWL. Plus SSR and BCV. We've done VB and it was nice for a day or two. Never been to HH, so we'll have to try it.

We have stayed at all the resorts except VWL and love them all. I have noticed dislike for a resort because of the distance from the lobby???? We just returned from HH and the only time we were in the lobby or had desire to do so was at check in. Our experiences at BCV, BWV and others were the same. I don't understand, what is the attraction in an hotel lobby?

We've only stayed at BWV, OKW and BCV so far but out of those three DW and I would have to vote for BCV as our least favorite. After our stay there in May the wife said "OK, we've stayed here and we don't need to stay here again.".

Gotta be BCV for us. The main reason would be because they put us by the parking lot and our reason for staying there was to spend time at Stormalong Bay. It was a LONG walk, even longer when we forgot something in our 4th floor room that overlooked the parking lot.

Call us old fogeys but we are die-hard OKWer's and always will be. It's fun to try out the other resorts but it's not "home" until we get to OKW. I don't look at OKW as having a "motel" feel, but having a condo feel to it. Like being at home. And, we'll never go again without renting a car, it made life so incredibly easier!

Everybody loves many of the resorts, but there most be one or two that you just don't like for one reason or another?

What DVC property do you NOT like and why???

BCV..can't put my finger on why, probably because the reosrt feels like an afterthought to me.

However, our first stay at our home resort, BWV(after 1 previous DVC vacation where we stayed at OKW), hated it, actually cried the next year when OKW was unavailable and we had to stay at BWV again.

That was many trips ago and BWV became #1 in our hearts after our 2nd visit there..have no idea what DH and I were thinking not liking it. WE still say to each other-how do we even not love this place!?

HH went the first time, it was just okay.
We bought sight unseen and would never have bought if we had to decide after that trip.
Trip #2--again DH and I were like what were we thinking not liking this place!?!
Hilton Head is now our must do every spring, we adore it!

Sooo, I'd be willing to bet if I stayed at BCV one more time, I'd be hooked there as well. LOL

We've only tried BCV, BWV and in 3 weeks SSR, but regardless...I am happy to stay at any DVC resort! Any DVC resort is better than staying off property (IMHO). In 2001 we were on property, but at a hotel on hotel plaza blvd and bought DVC sight unseen (didn't even do a tour) the next year! So we're happy anywhere as long as the accomodations are nice.

We just killed what will be our final two seater stroller recently. My boys together weigh 90+ pounds and I just can't justify spending several hundred dollars for a stroller when they are now 5 (45 pounds) and 3 (48 pounds - don't ask me lol he isn't fat at all, just thicker somehow than his brother) and can walk most places. BUt, I do believe that overly tired children make a WDW trip a nightmare, so next time, we are probably going to rent a double stroller on the days we go to the bigger parks.

Pushing that much poundage in children around all day can poop out a parent too

Our 7yr old twins Weigh about 70 pounds each, try that one on for size. They're tall and well built. We rented a double stroller for them because they really had a hard time with all the walking we did last year. We wound up renting a stroller last year on our third day. Of course by this year they had grown quite a bit. Needless to say, my husband And I both agree that they will be walking in December when we go back. We will be taking lots of breaks on the benches.

I personally can't wait to try all of the resorts because it's all Disney to me. I think each resort brings it's own unique features to the table and they are just to hard to compare.

I've only tried two so far: OKW and BWV. I didn't like anything about OKW, but then again I didn't like my home resort, BWV, either the first time I stayed there. I've gotten used to it over the years. We're staying at VWL in August.

Personally, I'm waiting for the villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge! LOL!!

Wow our 8 year old would never get to ride in a stroller if she got tired she would have to sit someplace not ride in a stroller heck our youngest 2 rarely get to ride in a stroller. When we rent one it is to carry around all the stuff we take to the parks LOL. At 5 our oldest didn't get to ride in anything actually I think it was after her second trip when she was 3 we stopped putting her in the stroller.

Hilton Head. What's the point of having a DVC location at beach resort that far from the beach. Disney got in there too late and got a very inferior location.
