Hello,
Where can I find a list of what DVC rooms in what DVC hotels fit 2 adults, 3 kids and 1 infant? Does it have to be the largest room or can we fit in a smaller room, like perhaps a 1 bedroom? Trying to find a way that it doesn't cost a fortune, but having us all stay together. Thank you!

Some 1 Bedrooms (and some deluxe studios too) should work as long as it says the capacity is at least 5. Though with that many people I would recommend at least a 1 bedroom.

A child under 3 does not count against the room capacity. So any room that says it can hold 5 really can hold 5+ 1 child under 3

When looking at the different DVC room capacities just make sure it says capacity is 5, not 4

There would even be studios that would technically work, though it might be a tight squeeze for five plus a pack and play. We're a family of five, and we stay in studios regularly with no problem.

If you are going to do a studio, I recommend a Poly longhouse studio. They have beds for 5 (one a child) and a pack and play can be put in the second "bathroom" - the one with only the shower and sink. It will fit. It will be tight, but it could work.

Is this for renting DVC or purchasing DVC?

If renting, would you consider a non-DVC cash stay at either of the good “family suites” layouts at Art of Animation (on Skyliner) or All Star Music family suites? Those both have two full bathrooms.

Art of Animation has better theming and is on the Skyliner route.

All Star Music is not on the Skyliner but it has a better layout plus a more recent update.

You should do just fine in a 1 bedroom at Riviera. The living room has a Murphy bed for two of the kids, then under the TV is a pocket bed for 1. The pack-n-play for the infant would fit in the kitchen area or could squeeze into the bedroom. Or if 3 kids fit in the Murphy bed, put the pack-n-play where the pocket bed folds down. That’s where we put ours.

Definitely NOT the 1 bedroom at BCV. We stayed there recently and it was a major let down after staying two previous times in Riviera. BCV 1 bedrooms are very tight in comparison to Riviera.

Timing of when the infant goes down for bedtime might be tricky. We had a 1 year old and a 4 year old. The 1 year old would go to bed first in the living room while the 4 year old would hang out with us a little while longer watching TV in the main bedroom. It might make sense to reverse it — put the pack-n-play in the bedroom and have everyone hang out in the living room.

The cost difference between a 1BR and a 2BR is not that much---whether in points or in dollars. But, it is qualitatively a much better experience for a group that size. If the budget definitely matters, then I would do a 1BR at OKW. Lowest point cost/cash rate, and largest rooms by a lot. The pack and play should fit in the laundry room, making it effectively an extra bedroom (but cutting off bathroom access from the living room in the villas that have that door.)

I just rented from DVC rentals and there is a link on one of the pages that will connect you to a list of properties that are available by dates and along with this, it tells you how many people the room will sleep. Good luck and happy planning.
