Well, we leave in 5 days and I have been looking over my "old" double stroller (tandem) - I really don't think its going to make it (and besides, I can't stand it :) )
What double stroller have you brought to disney that has "done the job"? I have 3 children (ages 6,4,2) and need one that won't cost a fortune (which leaves out maclaren) and that I could put the oldest two in if necessary (the youngest 2 will be riding most of the time) - my girls weigh : 6 yr: 55lbs, 4yr:40 lbs; 2 yr: 30 lbs.
Any suggestions? I've been thinking about even getting two "umbrella" style strollers and then hooking them together, but wonder if this will be a problem at the airport- I plan on gate checking it.

Thanks so much!!!! :earsgirl:

We have rented the single and then the double strollers since the 1st time we took our @ DD.s the are much easier to push, they are the jogging type and travel much easier over the bumps and curbs than the umbrella type which we took once used one day then rented the rest of the time. This will be the 1st time the girls 8 &9 have to walk and don't get the free ride.
Good luck and have fun :earsboy: We did have the graco double umbrella stroller which we used to get thru the airport and to the rental car area

I am also in the market for a new double stroller. We have tandem which I too hate. our boys are 4-1/2 at 40 lbs and 3-1/2 at 35 lbs. Would be willing to spend no more than $100.00. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Graco side by side that reclines, and has a roof with see thru window and double baskets underneath...It was my ebay special...New for 37.51 shiping and all!!!!! (bought for 2.51 and shipped for 35.00)!!!!

We used it on our last trip and the first few times getting it on the bus it was a booger, but by the middle of the trip DH was a PRO at breaking it down and folding it up..LOL

The girls slept in it about 2 hours of the day while in the parks!!!

We rented a tandem for my 3 yp and 8 month old. By the time we loaded up our bags in the stroller and the kids, it was so hard to steer. Even my DH had a hard time wioth it. We ended up renting a double for my 3 yo and 7 yo at the parks. If you need a recline for a younger child I would suggest 2 singles rather than a tandem.

I have the graco side by side and I think it is horrible. And I got it for free. It is soooo wide. It's ok for outdoors, but impossible to push through stores. I'm getting the Inglesina twin swift, which is small like a Maclaren, but only costs $199. I don't know that you can find a decent one for cheaper.

We were just there a couple of weeks ago and brought our peg perego double and LOVED it. It is pretty light and folds up nice and slim for the buses, boats, ect.. They seem to hold larger weights and have bigger seating also.
HTH

We had a Graco double stroller (not a side by side). We used it for five trips to WDW and it worked great. Was hard to steer when DD's 5 and 7 would ride in it at night, but it allowed us to be in the parks well after the two kids were sick of walking.

I have this one and it is the best double I have tried but it is $299(that is not what I paid though got it on sale  ) It is so lightweight and folds so quick with the little shoulder strap(although it is heavier than the single they have) I thought the weight was enough to warrant a little more $$. (heck my SIL just bought that fancy Bugaboo thingie for around $799 for one child!) I paid less than that for my first car.

We took our In Step Sarari TT double jogging stoller for our 6 and 3 year old on our recent trip and it worked like a dream. It has a 100 lb capacity. It did not fit through every turnstile wheelchair entrance, but my husband just lifted it over when necessary. We took it everywhere...on trams, the monorail. We did not use Disney busses so I do not know how it would have worked on them.

I used a Graco side by side for my 5 and 2 year olds. I went on the trip by myself so the double was a must. I think it worked great! It is very easy to break down and it is light. Both seats recline and have baskets underneath. I bought it for $47 at a resale shop!

help..if anyone knows. I am debating what to do also with a 4 and 2 ..i need something but we are staying at POP so the stroller we pick must be good on the buses.
