What don't you love about the POLY?

We LOVE the Poly and have stayed there 5 times.

The main things that we've had trouble with are the elevator in Rarotonga (the only building we have stayed above the 1st floor) is so slow and creaky that it's almost scary to take up. The other big thing is when on of the big pouring rains come, the walkways between the buildings flood quickly, making it hard to get around without being ankle deep in water.

I haven't stayed there, but my daughter, SIL, 3 grandkids stayed there one time. I have always had a secret desire to stay at the Poly, which I couldn't justify paying that price for. So, I was very excited to visit the Poly and check out their room. The room was dark, dank, and smelled musty. It looked very worn and tired. That was disappointing to me fo rthe price you pay.
Apparently my grandkids all wanted to stay with us at POR, which they love! My daughter felt the same way, and wished they had booked at POR, but they got a good deal on the room. They all ate in their room for breakfast one morning, and left the cleaned off trays stacked on the table for HK. Well, they were there for 2 more days!!! So, they put them outside the room in the hallway, where they were ignored for the rest of their stay. I noted a whole bunch of trays outside rooms in their hallway, all the time!
To say it was a one and done is an understatement for them. And I have gotten over my desire to ever stay there!
