What don't you get that everyone else seems to get?

I don't get why Haunted Mansion holiday is up for so much of the year. Really cool overlay, but I prefer the original

Thats my big one.

Haha I just read through 10 pages as well.

It's been a while since I've been to Disneyland, but even as a kid I never really got the teacups haha.

I never got the Mark Twain steamboat either, sorry if that's heresy on this forum!

I never got why they didn't/don't release Song of the South in North America. My Grandma happened to have it so I watched it a ton as a kid (and still watch it now as a young adult) and it is one of my favorite Disney movies, if not my favorite.

I "get" the Indiana Jones ride though, I'm not sure what it is about it but I absolutely adore it. Maybe it's because we went on it within the opening week when I was a kid =)

Ok I have to ask- what is a tigger tail??? And I don't get how my friends and family don't get why me and my husband have to go to Disney every year!!!! How many times I hear "go someplace new!" or "aren't you tired of going to Disney!? We went once and dont need to go back.". Now THAT I just don't get!! Disney makes us happy- whether it be DW or DL. How bout everyone stop worrying about where we vacation and just know that were happy!?! :) but seriously, I just don't get how someone could not love Disney!

I don't know exactly what's in them, but I know they are marshmellows covered in something.

Here's a photo from a google image search -

I don't get staying near Disneyland and going to a different park like Sea World or Legoland.

:rotfl: My extended family and friends don't get why we don't do this more. They just can't understand why we'll go to Disneyland 3-6 times a year but not do a bunch of other stuff if we've taken the time and trouble to drive all the way to southern California. We've had a couple trips during which we set aside a day to drive somewhere else, like Legoland or a museum, but I'm usually crazy to get back to Disenyland. We have even had a day during which we went to Legoland all day, but I still dragged the family to Disney that night for dinner and just to do something there. So I guess I don't get the going somewhere else thing either. I am more tolerant of doing something else when we have one of our longer trips, and it is probably a good idea to experience something other than Disney once in a while, so long as we're still getting plenty of Disney. My boys really loved going to Legoland once in a while when they were younger, and the time we went to Anaheim Ducks hockey added an extra special memory to one of their Disney trips. My parents though stayed walking distance from Disneyland for four nights but only went to Disney one day and then drove around the region doing all kinds of other stuff. That I don't get. :rotfl2:

longtimedisneylurker I completely agree with you. We have been to Sea World and the beach, etc... when we have gone primarily on a Disney trip, but the day we went to Sea World we stayed at a hotel in San Diego, and when we went to the beach it was a block out day on our APs. If I am going to be staying at a hotel anywhere near Disneyland, I am going to Disneyland. I just don't understand how anyone can stay at a hotel across the street from Disneyland and not go to the park, or decide to take a day off...

We recently took several in-laws with us and they were nervous about being there for 3 days (we stayed a week, and we got them a hotel for 3 days in the middle of our trip). I really think they had never been to a theme park with a plan (we use Ridemax, and also have a good understanding of how to do everything anyway) and they were worried about standing in line all day or getting burned out. By the end of the 3rd day, they were very disappointed that they weren't staying longer, and kept calling us the next 2 days asking what ride we were on, etc... and watching and rewatching the videos they had made. Pretty funny. If you know how to do it right, Disney is amazing. If you don't use Fast Pass, and don't know how to avoid long lines, I could see it being a much different experience, but I totally have the bug and can't wait until our next trip in June!
