What does your kitchen look like?

I have enjoyed all your kitchens. Is there anyone else out there who would like to share?

Here's 2 pictures of ours.

Before we painted & changed the countertops, it was your typical white wall / almond countertop condo kitchen. The green walls & green/blue countertops made the oak cabinets pop.

Not bad for our $500 makeover. :) Included the lighting, switch plate covers & hidden sponge compartments, new throw rug & a few accessories.

I would like to do something with the floor though.

its small.with oak cabinets, white tile counters, bright yellow walls (husbands choice), curtains that have a blue background with sunflowers(mom made them) , and linoleum, also took 2 of those mirrors that look like windows put them together and but it on my back wall to make it look like I have a window there.

Currently the walls are white, although we are going to paint them very pale yellow. The cabinents are Oak and we have white appliances. The floor is white and blue linoleum. We have a bay window in the eating area, and the sink has 2 windows over it, for a total of 7 windows. We have yellow and blue floral valances over them, and window shades that have to pulled down in the summer, or it gets unbearably hot, as the back of our home faces the west. We have 2 Disney Framed Pin Sets hanging in the eating area... one is Donald Duck's 65 Fiesty Years, and the other is Bambi's 75th Aniversary.

NEWWWWW!!!!

And I am so happy!!!!
Totally remodeled with new appliances. Laramie Tan walls, Oak cabinets with antique brass and oak handles, Neutral tan floor tile with dark grout and Tile countertops and backsplash. GE Profile dishwasher, refrigerator, OTR microwave and the best range I have ever cooked on/in in my life the GE Profile convection oven radiant cooktop. Eat in area is trimmed in sage green border with tie top sage curtains and oak dinette. The most beautiful kitchen in the world if I may say so myself!!!!

"U" shaped kitchen with a working pennisula rather than an island. Quarry tile floors in tan with oak cabinets and a cedar board ceiling. We have balck appliances and a cooktop that is recessed into a brick archway which happens to be the back side of our family room fireplace. Walls are off white with red plaid valances. The counters are cutting board tops.

SplshMtn99, I loved your kitchen. I especially love the basket border. Thanks for the link. Of course I took the tour of your entire house. You are quite the decorater. I liked what you or should I say Scott did to cover the air conditioner on the inside and the outside. Very Clever! ;)

COOL thread! :) I love reading about this!!! We rent an older home so.......we put up with the kitchen! I'm forever dreaming of floor plans and kitchen design for when I'm done with school and John's out of the Navy! :) Perhaps the next thread should be describe your ideal kitchen? :)

Anyone else watch that show "*Ultimate Kitchens" on the Food Network?

Ours has oak cabinets, my DH made them, he loves to woodwork. With cream countertop, appliances and tile inbetween the cupbards and countetop. Above my cupboards is open and I have apple wallpaper up there, with baskets. It's open with my dining room, but I have a bar that seperates them. We have oak flooring in the kitchen and carpet in the dining area. It's one of my favorite rooms, it seems we always find something to do to it. It's always changing and I love it more each time. This winter we are going to take a couple of my cupboards and make them taller than the rest. Right now there all the same height, with a railing on top. We decided it would look cool to have a couple higher to the ceiling with a big cove trim on it....I can't wait!! :p :D
But that's us...always doing something to our home!;)

Mine is done in 1950's theme, but it's not entirely decorated yet.

It's brick yet and cream with white trim. My counters are red formica (the original counter tops from when the house was built) and I have a huge white porcelin sink.

I have a red chrome table set and I have this poster framed on the wall

I still need to decorate it more with pictures and magnets
