What does your commute look like?

My commute has been a 15 minute drive for a long time now, which is great. However, soon I'll be moving back in with my parents so my commute is going to be a 2 hour and 15 minute drive (but they are letting me work 2 days a week from home). Growing up, my father would fly back and forth from NY to Chicago every week as his "commute" so at least I'm a bit closer than that!

So what is your commute like? How long, what method of transportation etc.

About a minute walk. From my bedroom to my computer room. haha

Mine is about an hour each way. No good jobs near the house, but no good place to live near the job, so I make do. I do have a four day work week, and the morning commute is way before rush hour, so it’s not as bad as it could be.
This is me exactly. One hour each way....the commute in the morning isnt as bad. No good jobs near my home....and no decently priced place to live near my work (way too expensive!).

I drive 43 miles one way to work. Depending on when I leave, that takes anywhere between 40-55 minutes.

We could've moved closer, but we like where we live so I bite the bullet. But it's a pain, especially at the end of a long week.

I teach in the city right next to the town I live in. I’m very fortunate to be able to avoid highway driving. It takes me 17 minutes to get to work.

I am getting ready to leave now...

I drive 4-5 miles away. Takes me 15-20 depending on weather and traffic. Late yesterday due to a rare train.

I roll out of bed, lol. I take care if dgd while DD works for right now.

I'm about 5 minutes drive away from work. My husband used to have to commute 90 miles round trip and he had to endure horrible traffic usually on his drive home. Thankfully he got a new position where he can work from home.

My house to work is a 3-5 minute drive depending on if I hit a red light. Our town is small!

It's a 10 minute drive. But now that tourist season is picking up it's an open-ended question. Here's to hoping that the people here from out of town know how to drive! :thumbsup2

About 45 minutes each way. That goes out the window on Friday nights, however. We live in a tourist destination and I've had it take as much as two hours if there's been an accident.

Pulling out of garage to sitting at my desk is MAYBE 5 minutes. I live in a very small one stop light town. Going home it is a little longer because we are a tourist town and we have tourists that walk in the middle of the road...not sure why, we do have sidewalks!

A better description would be what does it sound like.

HOOOOOOOONK HOOOOOONK
Patience grasshopper patience.

HEY!! That's not very lady like.

My commute is about 3 minutes. My wife works from home for K12. My kids have about a 5 minute drive to school. Pretty convenient for all of us.

Mine is almost like yours but a tad longer. It’s 90 miles. Just under 2 hrs if no traffic jams/ accident. But usually do a train/ car mix. There it’s door to door 2.5 hrs. It totally sucks. But are home is here and not possible to move us closer. When I was childless I had a city place and came weekends home. I am lucky that I can do a mix of home office and work a bit in the train. Btw. That’s one way. Also I know many who fly to commute to
