What Does "WALK ON" Mean?

I keep reading posts where folks say rides were walk-ons. I have been to WDW at some very uncrowded times and very rarely there was not at least a few people in front of me. Is this some subjective thing like the crowd issue? So--What do YOU mean when you say walk-on?

I think that walk-on means something from a truly zero-minute wait (I've been on Journey into Your Imagination and have walked right onto the ride) to something under 5 minutes.

I mean it to say that there is no stopping when walking through the queue and by the time you get to the load area, you are in one of the next three ride vehicles. If you wait a little longer at the end of the queue, I refer to it as essentially walk-on.

Walk on is considered when you basically walk through the que without stopping. Also can mean a very short wait of less than 10 minutes.

To me a walk on ride is when the line never stops moving, or you literally just walk up and get on a ride. BTW, I only go to WDW during the lowest projected crowd time and the only time I have seen any walk on rides was the week after the 911 attack.

Some rides, like Spaceship Earth, are usually a walk-on late in the afternoon, especially during the off-season. Many times, the ride has empty cars when we go up the ramp.
