On the hard copy of one of our reservations (we're staying at a mod first, than a couple of days of deluxe) it states 'grand gathering/travel with ID'. What does this mean?

We're not a grand gathering and there are only 3 of us travelling, all staying in one room. Anybody got a clue?

Not sure. The only thing I can think of is that when you check in at the hotel they always ask for ID...perhaps this is what it is referring to?????

The best thing to do is to call and ask. If you got it through CRO just give them a call ... otherwise if you used a TA they should be able to answer. When you find out, be sure to post so we all know.

The past few times when my family and I arrived to check-in at the Contemporary, the WDW security Cast Member at the guard shack asked my Dad for photo ID and checked our name off the list of guests who were checking in that day.

I think this is standard at all Disney hotels now. I would print out a hard copy of your reservation just in case... :)

Did you add the dining plan? According to Disney "admission to select Grand Gathering Experiences" is included in the Magic Your Way package when dining is added. Maybe this is why it's on the confirmation.

Nop, no dining plan added, it's a room only. Asking for ID would only make sence if it was on the second reservation also, I guess.

Anyway, I called CRO and asked to explain what it was about. Turns out that it's a code making sure we'll be getting 2 rooms. We need a room with a roll in shower and at the mods 3 adults don't fit in such a room, so that explained the second room.
