I don't get this at all. When a new player starts, VMK has to approve a name before it's ever allowed. My name has both a Disney character name (which has been theorized in the past as one excuse for some forced name changes) as well as an actual name. I've been playing with this name since April of '06. And it's not a case of having to track me down...
Over the year+ that I've been playing I've had several assorted in-game conversations with Hosts and Staff including Lily, Hula, 'Dawg, and even the Lord-God Yavn himself. One instance in particular was a "conversation" that occured over a week period and several visits to Lily's rooms (during which time Lily most certainly remembered me

). I've had Hosts show up and visit my rooms once or twice. Additionally, a couple times my rooms have been at the top of the Guest Rooms list - with my name in the title, no less ("Goofy_Bob's Trading Emporium"). I've written literally dozens of e-mail to, and received responses from, Contact Us, Paul Yanover, Joan & Vince at VMK Operations, VMK_Shorty, and others. I've called VMK's customer service phone number. I've submitted a Community Leader application and was given a test for a reply. Not to mention I've posted over a thousand messages here at DIS and other VMK-related boards at which the VMK people are said to stop by from time-to-time.
My point being I haven't been quietly hiding in the shadows.
I suppose my day could be coming... but I rather think it's another example of VMK's inconsistancies. Sorry to hear you had to change your title. Your new one is nifty, if that helps.
