Hi...I have a question...my daughter is 6 and just lost her 5th tooth. I'm wondering what I should do with all of the teeth. Right now they're in little zip lock bags in my desk..:scared: and I have no idea what I should do with them. Do you all throw them out, or keep them?

I throw them away, they gross me out

I didn't know what to do so I just saved them. I had them in a little box and my younger kids found them and have decided they are dinosaur teeth! LOL I think I should toss them now before they start losing teeth and wondering why the box is filling up with all those dino teeth!

DD6 just lost her fourth tooth today! So far I have kept them in a baggie too LOL

I'll have to think of something funny to tell her, in case she ever finds them. I don't know why, but I don't have the heart to throw them out. LOL

We have saved them. It is pretty icky...oh well!

My son even wrote a note to the tooth fairy asking to leave his tooth because he wanted to keep it. Of course the tooth fairly did!

My son has lost 4 teeth, 2 he swallowed!:goodvibes

when my youngest found her sisters teeth in a drawyer we told them they were the dogs teeth ( he was a puppy ) and she was ok with it WHEW ..

DD puts them in envelopes with a note on the front, her name, the date she lost it and usually draws something on them. (the envelope makes it easier for the toothfairy to find the tooth under her pillow). I toss the envelopes in my safe deposit box, she never goes in there.

My mother keeps my baby teeth in her jewlrey box in a ziplock bag.
She told me they were her baby teeth that the tooth fairy forgot to get when I found them one day when I was younger.
I accepted that answer.

I've kept all my kids' teeth in ziploc bags with the dates of when the teeth fell out written on them. Honestly I don't know what to do with them now but I just can't throw them away since I'd made the effort to keep them all these years!

I never took the teeth, I always left them under the bed so they could decide what to do with them. My kids never cared, they just wanted the $5! My DD only asked once why the tooth fairy never took her teeth and I just told her that they were such nice teeth that she must have thought she keep them and it worked. The only drawback is that we have little containers full of rotting teeth! :rolleyes1

At my house the tooth fairy is VERY forgetful, and sometimes has to rush in and do the tooth transaction while DD is taking a shower. Sometimes its too late and DD realizes that she never came. So then the tooth fairy has to write a note and leave extra cash for the poor cutomer service. I'm pretty sure our tooth fairy is ready to retire from the tooth business. I think she needs a vacation to somewhere tropical.

My children were all under the impression that you had to CALL the tooth fairy when leaving teeth------that's why , of course when teeth were still under a pillow for a few days I could explain that the line was busy, I left her a voice mail, she is a VERY busy person you know, with all those teeth to collect........:lmao: :lmao: then my kids would ask me to call her again, etc.--------dh is cute, but not always on top of the teeth things.......
only moms :lmao: and dads get the good phone #'s to santa, the easter bunny, tooth fairy etc.

We also have a splinter fairy, that you have to contact ahead as well......;)

My boys have those little pillows on them with the pocket on the front to hold the tooth, the tooth fairy takes the tooth and replaces it for $3 for the first tooth and $1 for ea one after. Then she delivers the first lost tooth to their baby album. :wizard:

Only the first thou, cause really I have enough crap in this house. :upsidedow Who need old rotting teeth on top of all the other stuff...like the seashells they were christened with (dont ask), first bib, first smiley face drawing, a billion other arts and crafts from school, etc.

My kids think the tooth fairy that comes to our house is cheap cause other kids at school get $5 a tooth. I tell them since their last name starts with W they're last on her deliveries list for the night and almost broke by then. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I thought that only happened at my house :rotfl: Sometimes I forget or worse don't have any cash or one time all I had was a 20 my son love the tooth fairy that day, he was upset when he lost his next tooth and only got 5 he called the tooth fairy a cheapskake from there on.:rotfl:

Oh yeah I save my DD16 teeth but I lost them when we moved and my DS10 always seem to lose most of them before he goes to be.

In our house, we have 3 children. When my oldest was loosing his teeth we gave him old but polished silver dollars. He loved them. He thought they were like treasures from a pirate's chest. It was too cute; however, we were not smart. We gave most of them to him before it hit us that we had better save some for the other two children. Needless to say, my younger two are in the process of losing their teeth, and they are excited in anticipation of receiving silver dollars. The tooth fairy around here only has a few more so we are scrambling to find about 4 more. My oldest has 8 silver dollars, and the other too are expecting the same. The tooth fairy may have to make a deal with the oldest kid around here. ;)

Our kids tend to loose their teeth right before we go to bed too!

My 5yo is about to lose her first tooth. I am going to do what my parents did. I was given a silver dollar for each tooth I lost. I have even told DD about this and she thinks it is so cool to have coins and not dollar bills. I still have all the silver dollars from when I lost my teeth. My mom told DD the other day that the tooth fairy gave my mom back all of my baby teeth. I guess I will keep them also. I am a dentist so teeth are not yucky to me. I like teeth!!!
