I'm not sure if this belongs in Resorts or Restaurants...

I've read that you don't get a room discount if they offer free dining.

Assuming free dining is offered in September and the offseason rate at a Value Report is $89. Would I have to pay more than the $89? Would it be the Regular, Peak, or Holiday?

Anybody know how it worked in the past?

Thanks,

For ASMO on 5/31-6/8 in a prefferred room, We are paying $131 per night (I think) Thats the rack rate for that time, and in return for paying rack for the room, I get the oppritunuty to purchase the DDP for my family. (There is still a little voice in my head telling me to cancell, stay at a HoJos or days in and pay for our food) :confused3

For free dining, since it comes out in the value season, you will pay rack rate each night for the room, no more. SO if a value is $89, you will pay $89 and get the dining for everyone in your room.

With free dining the rooms are rack rates plus the resort tax of course.
* Note You will also need to book tickets with your package. At least a 1 day ticket for each person in your room.

Free dining is offered duringvalue season and I think the rate $82 for a stand room during value season.

Free dining really is a bargain at the values because for a family of 4 the DDP would normally cost
almost $40 for each adult and $11 for each child so for a family with 2 adults and 1 child you are already saving more than the rack on your room. With 2 adults and 2 children the savings is even more.
That more than makes up for any discount you could receive.

DH and I were able to go during free dining the last two years.
It is a wonderful dining experience.

It truly is one sweet deal ! :yay: :yay: :yay:

You pay the regular rate for whatever dates you're travelling. They don't jack up the room rate because of the promo. This year they did adjust room rates for the first portion of the promotion dates so that folks would get cheaper value season instead of paying regular/peak (can't remember which it fell under) so in that small window prices were actually lower.

Like minnie said, it's quite an unbelievable deal if you stay at a Value resort. No room discounts ever offered could come close to the value of free dining when staying at a Value Resort. If it comes around again, we already decided to take full advantage and stay the 10 nights max per reservation.

Just came back from the World, and booked our bounce-back ressies for 8/5 til 8/15 (10 nights max for one reservation) We will be staying at the value priced at $92.44(incl. tax) per night. The CM at the bounce-back desk was exceptionally helpfull. She told us that since we have 2 adults under our room, we are able to book "2" rooms with 4pp in each room. She suggested that we extend this offer to our family/friends. I sadly declined. Sorry guys :grouphug: For those needing more than 10 nights, you may book another ressie w/at least 1 day MYW ticket.
