LOL

I've been trying to get on my account for 4 days now. Everyone else in the house has no problem getting on. I've tried all the BSOD tricks. Batty suggested I might be banned.

Is the screen just black if you are banned? Thanks!

Not an answer for you because I have never been banned, but do you think you were banned?:confused3

I dont know, but you can go to the contact us option and select "I think I have been banned" it will respond with the answer to that.

I remember during my accidental ban on Valentines Day, a message popped up saying I was banned. I think you should be ok, but I'm not sure.

If you are banned from VMK, your VMK screen will be black and you will receive a message similar to this with the reason you were banned and when the ban expires:

Ban_image.jpg

NOTE: I found this image on another site. I have never received a 10 year ban. ;)

Wow. thanks.

I'm not banned then.

I actually was hoping I was banned. That would at least explain what is going on. I've been saving for months to get Halloween items and now that October is upon us I can't get login.

:headache:

Have you tried using Mozilla Firefox instead of IE?

The black screen means that VMK is goofy :goofy:
I get it all of the time.

You might want to try going to the disney website and trying to log in with your username and password there. It sounds as if it can't resolve the username/Password with the main site. (hence the black screen waiting for a response?) Try using the other family members email address logins and see if they work on the disney site. It might help point you in a direction to look.

I don't know if this will help you, but for the past few weeks for me, Internet Explorer has been actiing very strange (most of the time). Sometimes it logs into VMK, but most of the time it doesn't -- it just sits there with a black screen. The only way I can get in at that point is to click F5 between 10-20 times to refresh (wait between each click to see if you the circle)...that always seems to do the trick. It might be some strange issue, but I just think my IE is just lazy...

both vmkpal and mozilla firefox have been working fine, perhaps try logging in on one of those?

Are you sure you got the correct username and password?

The username should have an email address, like username@yahoo.com

If you want, you can also request your password to be emailed to you. You never know, may help.

There has been an update to Shockwave though I have avoided updating mine. It seems that everytime there is an update, it often causes problems. Perhaps, if your computer is set to automatically update programs, that might be the cause of your problems.
Also, if your shockwave is running a much older version (for example - more than one version older than is current) when the new update comes out very often VMK will not run on that older version anymore.
At this point, try checking to see what version of Shockwave you are running. I am running 10.2.0.22 and it is running fine. The newest version is 10.2.0.23. Also check that if you are running automatic updates that you dont have too copies of Shockwave (often if you have two different browsers loaded on your computer this happens). This can cause problems too. In any event, try uninstalling Shockwave and then reinstalling it.
Dont use the uninstall program from your computer. Use the one found on the Adobe website. It will safely remove all instances of Shockwave from your computer. There is one for Mac platforms and one for PC's
Save the uninstall program on the Adobe website to your desktop first.
Then open the folder and select run. Once the program has finished the uninstall, go back to the Adobe Shockwave site and reinstall the program.
This may solve your problem.

That's not true. I signed up for VMK with my existing Disney user name, not an email address. It doesn't sound like a password problem. She didn't get a password error message.

Okay. She (original poster) said she can log in everyone's account but hers. I can't see how shockwave would be an issue, although it can't hurt to upgrade it. I would definitely use the Contact Us - I think I've been banned - link...just to ease my mind. If that's not the problem, keep refreshing the login. I have had times when my main character wasn't able to log on for days at a time, yet my secondary character had no trouble at all.

Thanks everyone.

I tried uninstalling Shockwave and still have the same problem. I get the main page, but I can't enter any rooms. I also contacted VMK and I'm not banned.

At this point, I'm working hard to earn points on a secondary character. I've been using my main character exclusively since I became a member, so everything I "own" and every last credit was with that avatar. It is like I'm starting over. :headache:

I'll keep trying daily. Who knows, someday queenofhalloween might return.

Thanks again to everyone who tried to help! :goodvibes
