What Does Easter Mean To You?

So I was just wondering (while watching this talk show where they were discussing Christianity)..what does Easter mean to you?
Is it all about the chocolate? (Although the chocolate is a pretty good catch!)
Or, like me, do you love the real meaning of Easter?
Or are you not even a Christian and belong to a different religion and therefore don't celebrate Easter?
So what's your views on Easter..

I don't celebrate easter.My mom is jewish and I live with her but when I was little and my parents were together we celebrated it because my dad is catholic.

But I don't celebrate it anymore,So it's just another Sunday to me.

A chance to get the stuff no one gave me for my birthday.

A chance to mooch some money off my relatives...

A chance to stuff my face with jelly beans and chocolate.

A chance to wake my brother up at 4 in the morning swearing to him I just saw the Easter Bunny go down and look! (it was a joke i played on him one year and it just doesn't rub off)

A chance to hang with my cousins who of which are funnier than anyone else i know....

And a chance to ask God why He's letting me get so fat off of this stuff the Easter Bunny's given me.

A chance to TRY to not swear that day, even though it's quite impossible.


That's what Easter means to me.

It's for the chocolate. I have never gone to church for Easter, and I do not participate in these holidays religiously.
Like Christmas for me, is a time to be with my family.

I take Easter for the religious reasons. Easter is the celebration of the most vital event in Christianity's history. Without it, Christianity wouldn't even exist. I celebrate Jesus' Resurrection on that day.

Although the chocolate isn't that bad either.

Be glad you can still see your family. I'm hoping that I get to see one of my cousin's who, even though she lives 10 minutes away, I haven't seen in a year.
