As a gaming journalist, I'm actually rather interested (not exactly worried, but just cautiously curious) to see what effect this has on Marvel video games. I'm really hoping that they aren't adversely affected. Hopefully, they'll even benefit from Disney's greater resources. Who knows?

Anybody interested in the article I wrote on the matter (which would also help hits for the website I write for) can find it below. Tell me what you think, either here or there. Do you guys have any predictions?

Hrm...maybe I should be a little concerned.

I could see your concern from cross contamination. Your wondering if the wholesomeness of Disney will have an impact on the narrow wasted buxom vixens and gun packing supper heroes of our beloved childhood legends?
If Disney felt that the marvel logo was profitable enough to shell out that kind of capital I would find it hard to believe that they would drop what makes marvel work. Good stories guns and cleavage.
My thoughts would be more to the damage to Universal (the other white meat). What impact will it have on them now what Disney owns Spiderman the Hulk and Superman. That’s like Disney wakening up to find Mickey has been sold to Wall mart.
Hail to our Disney overlords we are one step closer to world domination. Next stop the Vatican

Disney doesn't own Superman, he is owned by DC Comics not Marvel. They do now own Iron Man and the X-men. That is just Awesome!!!!

Well, let's see what happens. Personally, I'm rather curious to see what Disney'll do to the comic book industry. ;-)

Of course Disney WAS heavily into the Comic Book industry back in the 50's, very early 60's. Not THESE kind of comic book of course. I'm not sure what the publishing arrangements were though--Dell maybe?
Anyway, would that I had saved my old Walt Disney's Comics and Stories Comic Books. Davy Crockett too. Worth some $$$ now.

Think of the new battles in the Kingdom Hearts franchise! The Hulk vs. Bambi! Mr. Fantastic vs. Mr. Incredible! The Beast vs....er, The Beast!
