What Does 9 Year Old Girl Want for Christmas?

Disneymom your list sound good too! Don't post this on the what's Santa brining your kids post or some rude person will say you have spoiled over indulged children. Glad to know my DD might still love AG stuff when shes 9.

My DD10 and her friends still play with their AG dolls and they are all getting AG things for Christmas from their parents.

I cannot say what else my DD10 and DD8 will be getting for Christmas- MCat will be sure to find this post and try to sneak a peek at what she is getting!

Everyones lists sounded great!

OP- the laptop is a GREAT gift! Nothing else will matter!

My dd is 9, too. I think your list is great. My DD has wanted an AG doll for a while, she enjoys just looking at the catalog when it comes out. So far, she's only had AG books. But my mom is getting dd her first AG doll, Samantha, for Christmas. My dd would love the laptop, also games for nintendo. She loves Little House books, too. So, age wise, I think you are on the right track.

I get so mad when kids enjoy something, but then another child tells them it's too babyish. My niece, who is also 9, has had a princess themed room for about 4 years. Very tasteful, subtle, not over-the-top with characters. Anyway, she was perfectly happy with it, until her friends made fun of her. Now she's embarressed and wants a new room.

Those of us (adults) who get kidded for our love of Disney, excitement over characters, etc. get a taste of that, I guess. But as adults, we have the confidence to know that people are just kidding with us, and their opinion of us doesn't really matter anyway. But kids tend to base their whole self image on what others think of them, so peer opinions are everything to them.

Enjoy this Christmas!

But I think I will return the Little House DVD set, maybe buy a Hannah Montana DVD, perhaps a mouse pad with a teen theme? Thanks for the suggestions!

Just a thought but you are not to keen on the whole cheetah girls, Hannah Montana scene for the mouse pad, you could probably find just a cheetah print in like hot pink or lime green that she would like. It would give the feel of Cheetah girls, but in couple of years when she has outgrown them she could still use the mouse pad because it didn't reak the teenie booper theme.

My dd is (10) and I am not a big fan of the t-shirts that have saying on them, so I try to find a few that I could live with, but didn't scream drama queen or spoiled brat on them. I got her 2 shirts one I found in Target that said "Everybody Loves a Brown Eyed Girl" and the other I found at Limited Too that said "Little Girl Big Dreams". Its a compromise.

My dd hasn't really asked for much, but I try to focus on what her interests are. She is a gymnast so I try to get her leotards, pins and stuff that I know that she is going to love.

10 is a tough age, but for me she sure is easier than buying for my ds who is 5, but tends to act like he is 10 too. He's my toughie :scratchin .
