What do your kids like for breakfast?

Mine are spoiled. They are never asking for cereal or pop tarts or anything easy. DS wants scrambled eggs and toast, or pancakes and sausage. I don't think he has any idea just how good he's got it!;)

My DSs like everything that you mentioned. They love it when I make a "big breakfast" consisting of any combination of eggs, toast, french toast, pancakes, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, etc. In fact, I just made a big breakfast this morning! :teeth:

On other mornings, they're quite happy with their favorite cereal or once in a while, a package of Pop Tarts.

I make a big breakfast on the average of twice a week. DSs are 14 and 11 years old and now THEY like to make breakfast for DH and I, they think it's fun, and I like them to know how to cook, so it works out for all of us :)

Since I work full time, my kids are pretty much stuck with the cereal routine during the week. However, if I take off work and on the weekends, I make them scrambled eggs, waffles, pancakes or muffins. I'm on vacation this week, as it was dd's first day back to school today, so I did a nice breakfast for her.

My kids do fruit, waffles , cereal, and poptarts...I guess better than donuts? On weekends we do more healthier breakfasts...during the week it has to be fast...as we already get up at 5:30 am

On school days, my ds likes dry cereal in a cup to munch on on the way to school. Sometimes he'll get a microwavable sausage biscuit. He'll drink milk, OJ, or sprite. My dd prefers the sausage biscuit more often, sometimes dry cereal. My dd HAS to have her morning coke cola.

On weekends they like cheese toast or cereal and milk. Every now and then they'll request fried eggs and toast or some bacn added. They like pancakes sometimes too, but not too often.

They aren't their mama's babies.:teeth: I prefer pizza for b'fast, or something not so traditional. This morning my dd and I warmed up some Krystal's and ate them.;) We had a bonding moment.:p

Mornings are a mad rush in my household, so it's cereal, muffins or a pop tart for DD, DS usually has a Carnation Instant Breakfast, and DH and I have an Atkins Bar.

On the weekends we like to go out for breakfast, and have a nice, big meal!

Lately our 2 yr old DD wants string cheese for breakfast. She'll eat 2 of those and be happy as a clam. Other days I'll mix cereal and dried fruits and make home made snack mix. I don't like all the salt and sugar added to the ready made stuff, or their huge price tags.

4-1/2yo DD has been eating (microwave) pancakes & bacon nearly 99.9% of EVERY morning since she started eating. Yes, I've tried other things, scrambled eggs, raisin toast, cereal (with or w/o milk), french toast, waffles, anything but, I finally figured if she's eating Anything, it was better than nothing so, pancakes & bacon it is. At least she eats one meal a day!

14-1/2yo DS, will eat ANY of the above as well as leftover foods, cold pizza, you name it! ;)

Even though I'm a SAHM, I still don't cook breakfast! My boys have hot or cold cereal, toast , juice , hot chocolate, eggo waffles etc. The only time we have pancakes, homemade waffles, bacon and eggs etc. is Saturday night dinner! Any time I ask the boys if they want me to make a cooked breakfast, they just look at me like I'm crazy and say no.

My 13yr old DS will eat cereal 99.9% of the time. When on holidays he will have bacon & eggs with cold milo or pop tarts if I have any or really anything that is going.

14yr old DS mainly has toast & coffee or tea for breakfast, but once again, when on holidays that will change to bacon & eggs or pop tarts or omlette or whatever is going.:p :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I eat toaster strudels for breakfast! Those things are great!:p And during the school year i'm always running late so i usually eat a pop tart or a nutri-grain bar on my way out the door.

If given a choice both my girls would say Ice Cream Sandwiches....

We do toast, fruit, sometimes eggs..... maybe yougurt.... and yes.... sometimes mom says yes to ICS!!!! LOL

DS os required tp get at least 4 grams
of fiber every morning so his breakfasts
are healthy. frosted mini wheats/french
bread sticks made with high fiber bread/
oatmeal/2 pieces of toast with peanut
butter and always a piece of fruit with
milk or water. He would love a pop tart but
my mom shoved those at us lots when we
were kids- I don't buy them. The pediatrician
says kids should get fiber = their age + 7
every day. Impossible to do if breakfast
doesn't start out as at least 4.
What would he "like for breakfast?" Yesterday,
has asked for a popsicle! :jester:

My boys aren't really big on breakfast, so they usually eat pop tarts, cereal, or toast. Sometimes they'll have waffles, pancakes, or toaster strudels.

If they had the CHOICE they would say, panckaes if daddy is cooking (he makes AWSOME pancakes) and french toast if I'm cooking

When they can't charm us into one of those, bagel and cream cheese, or mini muffins.

DS13 eats poptarts but only blueberry ones. DS6 eats frozen cinnamon toast waffles, DD13 eats a variety of things, including egg beaters in the microwave or a bagel w/ cream cheese, and they'll all have yogurt sometimes.
