What do your kids call their Grandmother?

Since our little guy will be arriving home soon, the great debate on what to call his Grandmother has started. My neices and nephews call my Mom "Granny" so there is no decision there. This will be my DMil's first grandchild. She has come down to "NawNee" or "MeMe". Both seem a little different to me, but if that is what she wants--it's ok with us.
Any one heard of NawNee or have an unusual name for the Grandmother?

Nothing unsual here. My daughter calls my mother Grammie. My ex-husband's mother is called Grammie Sue.

My kids used to call their late grandma (MIL) "nana", they call my mom "yia yia" That is greek for grandmom, even though my mom's Italian (dad's greek).

My mom is "Gram"

DH's mom is "Nanna" (why she chose 2 n's I have no idea. I've always seen it as "Nana")

When my kids were born they had three living great grandmothers and my MIL and own mom as grandmothers. The greats were Grammie, Nana, and Me-maw. The grands are Grandma and Nannie. My grandmother (Me-maw) is the only great still living so they still have three grands. :goodvibes

My kids and my neices call both of their grandmothers "grandma". If they need to specify which one they add on a last name. This is exactly what I called my g-mothers too.

My nieces and nephews had a great grandmother they call me me. The Grandmothers were Gram.

They'll call them what they want.

My mom was just Gramma - his mom was Gramma Lisa, my grandma was Gramma ChooChoo (she lived by a train) and his grandma was Gramma Wrangler (she had a dog named wrangler)

ETA - my 15 y/o was the 1st grandchild - and he kinda got to pick, as others said - it ended up sticking.

We live so close and Im Italian and Greek too!

My kids just say Grandma and Great Grandma since my grandmother's still alive. My youngest DS use to say Grandma and Big Grandma in order to distinguish the two.

Lets see my mom is Mammie (DS couldnt say Grammie and it stuck), Ex-mil is MeMe, and ex-stepmil is Madam...which started as a joke because she said she was too young to be a grandma. She wanted to be called something respectful like Madam. Well, it stuck so my 13 and 7 year olds call her madam and everyone gets a kick out of it. Her other grandkids call her Nana but she LOVES her little name.

That's exactly how it has been in our family. My mil wanted to be called Grandma Sharon, but that seemed disrespectful to me. :confused3

My mom is Grandma to my boys. My MIL is Nonnie, which started out as Nana, but my son couldn't say Nana right away, it came out as Nonnie, so it stuck. :thumbsup2

My mother is Grandma and MIL is Memere.

My best friend's MIL is Nonni (pronounced NawNee). I believe that is an Italian thing.

When I was born my paternal grandparents wanted me to call them just by their first name. My mom said no way, so they compromised with Grammy Molly and Grampa Russ (grammy or grampa plus the first name). My maternal grandparents probably didn't care, so my mom decided I'd call them Grammy and Grampa (and if differentiation was necessary, tack the last name onto the end of it).
But when I was little I had my own ideas about things. Both grammy's were "Mum" and both grampa's were "dutz". We have no idea where either name came from. Now they're referred to as Grammy and Grampa

My parents are from the Netherlands, so my mother is "Oma" to the kids.
My husband's mother was Grandma.

My Mother is "Mu", pronounced 'Muh'.....don't ask where it came from... :confused3

When DD was born she had 3 grandmothers. DH's mother was going to be Grandma, but DD could not say it, she said MaMa. So MaMa it always was. My mother was called Nana, and my SM was eventually called Grandma.

My mom is grandma, my FIL is grandpa, (my father is no longer living, but would have been grandpa, too, and we would have added the last names when there was confusion), and my MIL is Bubbie (Yiddish for Grandma). The grandparents got to choose what to be called. My DH's brother thought that it's their job as parents to choose what their children call the grandparents, so they call them something else, even though my FIL doesn't like it (If I'm remembering right, they wanted the Hebrew names for Grandma and Grandpa, but my in-laws didn't want that). As long as it isn't too strange, I think the grandparents should be able to choose what they are called.
