On the same line as Piglets thread about what do your kids call you I was wondering about the other grandparents are called. My dgrdd's call me Grandme and my dh Peepaw. We have no idea where my oldest dgrdd got Peepaw from but he likes it as no one else around here is called that so he feels unique.

My grandkids call me Nana. Or Nanny, which I hate!!

Tra is just 19 months.. so he has not perfected our titles yet.. at Christmas he was happy to Holler

grmmPPPAAA!!! and grmmMAAA!!

We were delighted to say the least....gee whiz I sure miss that cutie pie!

I'm not a grandparent, but I get a kick out of what my son calls my dad. Dad wasn't ready for the grandfather thing when our son was born, so once DS could talk he was encouraged to call his grandfather Jim. Just Jim, not grandpa or anything like that. So now DS and all his cousins call my dad Jim.

DH and I are Grammie and Grampa. That's what we call each other, the grandbabies aren't really talking yet..........though Avery has mumbled it a little......
he does love when I hum It's a Small World :teeth:

I don't have grandkids yet.:teeth: My kids call my mom grandma, my dad is Pa, my SO's dad is PawPaw and my SO's mom was granny.

I called my grandmothers MawMaw (the distinction was one was MawMaw and her middle name, the other was MawMaw and her last name). My grandfather was PawPaw.:)

It's funny how kids determine what grandparents are called. My mother was set to be called grandma, but my niece, the first grandchild started calling her Mimi. So that is who she is for all 5 grandkids. In fact we all call her this:D

but I always called my grandparents Grandma and Grandpa (paternal) and Grandmommy and Grandaddy (maternal), and my great-grandmother (paternal) was called Granny, but I don't remember her.

We have a 9-year old granddaughter and 6-year old grandson, they both call me Grandma and they call my DH Papa. Their parents are divorced and they spend a week with their mom, then a week with their dad (our son) and live in the house right next door to us, so we get to see them quite often. It's especially nice in the summer. :)

My kids call their grandma(my mom) Me-Me, they call their great grandpa (my grandpa) Pop and they call their great grandma (my grandma) Nannie.

I don't have grandchildren yet.

My grandparents were Nanny & Bop-paw and Granny & Dockey.

My kids call their grandparents Mam-maw & Pap-paw and Grandma & Grandpa. We let the grandparents choose their names of choice in advance and the kids didn't change them.

Mamu don't know why, just know for the last 12 years that been my name. I hated it at first.

I had one goal in my life - I wanted to be a Grandma. I always wanted to be called Grandma. I loved my Grandma so much I knew it had to be the best job in the world.

Now...

My grandson will be six months this week and what ever he calls us it will be the most perfect name for us!

For my dad's mom i call her Yai Yai cause that is the greek word for grandmother and for my mom's parents i call them Mom Mom and Pop Pop. There is also someone that lives close to me and she is my nanny...

My DD calls my Mom and Step Dad , Mee Maw and Pap and my Dad is Pappy (first name). My DH's parents are Grandma and Pappy (last name). My grandparents are Na-Na and Pap-Pap and my DH's grandmother is Honey.
