What do you wear at Disney?

Was thinking about this - What do you wear to Disney, meaning, do you wear Disney related clothing, such as a Disney themed shirt, (park or ride Tshirt), or do you wear something non-Disney, such as sport related, music related, etc?

I tend towards the non-Disney stuff, I feel it would promote more conversation and comments from strangers. Such as wearing a Yankee shirt and hearing "go Tigers"

Both! Some days I go Disney themed and sometime I go non-disney. Have never had strangers say anything to me - yet! I have done it to them though - Steelers fans (sorry all!) and I am a Cincy Bengals gal. :thumbsup2

Some days I will wear a Disney T and others I will wear a collared polo with pocket. Always either shorts or blue jeans, depending on the weather.

Of course generally on Wednesdays and Thursdays I will wear the costume provided by Disney since those are my usual workdays.

HI...this is my 1001'st post...maybe I need to get a life!!

Just about anything you want...seriously...Lot's of Disney stuff around, but whatever is comfortable. If going in the winter months, and we are there a lot in Jan, Feb, and March, the temp can drop a lot in the evening, so I always take jacket and tie it around my waist for the evening.

We do like to wear Iowa shirts once in while as Iowa folks are kind of few and far between and always speak to each other if the shirt says "Iowa Hawkeyes" or that other Iowa team!!!

Always use comfortable shoes...I cringe watching some folks doing Disney in heels or wing tips...

Hope this helps...Ted

I have met Figment, but never Cheshire! Where can we meet you??
Wednedays and Thursdays at Typhoon Lagoon Main Gate. Either in a ticket booth, Guest Services, or as a Greeter at a turnstile. Ask for Mike.

I actually made note of this a couple weeks ago. I have been wearing pretty plain tops, things that will give me the most variety of outfits. However, I noticed on my last trip that there were many conversations among strangers who wore shirts bearing sports team logos. I thought it was kind of fun the way men wearing shirts from different football teams would say to strangers on buses "So how do you think----will do this year?" and talk about new players, etc., etc. I took note of this and am planning to wear more logo-related clothes next time I'm traveling solo. Disney related stuff seemed to start conversations if people wore clothing from a specific ride. Then it was "So what did you think of--?"

While at WDW from 9/8 to 9/13, the only shirts that I wore that got comments were my Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore shirts. I got lots of, "Oh, he's my favorite!" comments and a couple of "Where did you find that shirt?" ones. Naturally, the shirts that I wore were WalMart specials!! I tend to collect Disney character shirts that do not come from the parks.
It really makes this grandma happy when a little child yells out,"Winnie Pooh, Mommy! Look!" That usually gets a few conversations going in Costco!

We usually wear a combo. Two funny experiences: DF saw someone wearing a T-shirt from his former high school here in PA! We ended up chatting for a few mins., found they had some common acquaintances.....

The second experience happened to me at MGM. I was wearing my Rufus T-shirt (from Kim Possible). The photog stationed at the hat told me where I could meet Kim and Ron and said that sometimes Rufus appears magically in the picture! Well, I was absolutely thrilled. Met Kim and Ron but alas, no Disney photog, no photopass picture :guilty: I asked at the photo counter if they could take my pic in front of the hat and magically add Rufus....The CM was terrific. After calling her manager, who called someone else, they took me to a neutral location (can't mix Rufus and Mickey's world due to characer integrity), they took my pic and magically added Rufus! :sunny: It was the pixie dust, the reason we keep going back......but might not have happened without my Rufus T-shirt!

DH and I usually wear our normal day to day clothing (skirt an tshirt for me, jeans tshirt for DH. i usually wear a disney tshirt though... and always my pin bag!

I usually go with plain shirts or shirts to represent where I'm from (Red Wings, Tigers, Michigan State, etc). I almost never wear a shirt from the place I bought in that city, if that makes sense. For example: when we went to Chicago last September I bought a shirt from the Hard Rock Cafe. When we went 3 weeks ago, I didn't take that one with me. I usually like to represent or show that I'm from Michigan. If I buy a shirt I usually wear it on the way home so that everyone can see where I had been. On the way back from WDW in 2005 I wore the Eeyore shirt I got, which I've gotten so many compliments on since.

I do usually pull out my more Disney related tops. I have several Mickey icon polos that I can wear to work, but there are a couple tshirts and sweatshirts that I can't wear to work so I like being able to wear them at Disney.

Any shirt I wear with a design on it is Disney. I have very few that aren't and I don't wear those to WDW. During the summer I usually wear plain tanktops or camisoles. During the colder months I'm always in a sweatshirt bearing Tinker Bell, Figment, or Mickey. I try to wear something Disney every day, especially at the parks. I have a lot of Tinker Bell jewelery that I try to incorporate into my wardrobe as well.

i actually get more attention as a woman wearing a Red Sox cap than anything else. :) And I don't mind it!

I wear some Disney but just make sure i'm comfortable as well as presentable.

5 and a half weeks til we go!

My daily WDW park clothes are cargo shorts in various colors and Aloha shirts. I have 4 Disney related styles but over 100 others. As far as wearing other Disney themed clothing items I don't own any others and probably will not buy any in the future. Even as I type this I am on another site getting ready to order another another Mickey Aloha shirt.

We usually wear what is comfortable for the season. Rarely do we have Disney themed clothing on ,because we don’t really wear it in real life. Maybe a Mickey sweatshirt or two, but that is about all. Now if it is game day you better believe we all have our Black and Gold finest on...... Of course I think Steeler gear is at least 10 times more prevalent in our home than Disney......

I tend to just wear comfortable, regular clothes (nothing written on them). Either a simple short-sleeved shirt and shorts or a sweatshirt & jeans (depending on the weather), with a comfortable pair of well broken in sneakers. Earlier this spring, I found some great v-neck shirts at Lands End that I just love. So comfy! I do have some Disney t-shirts & sweatshirts, but I mainly wear those at home.

I wear stuff I know is comfortable. Some of it is Disney-themed and some of it is not.
