What Do YOU Want For Christmas?

An iPod
two books:
Under Heaven by Guy Gavriel Kay
Mini Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella
or a gift certificate to Chapters

What do I really want?
A solo trip to Disney as a combo 30th birthday (12/6), anniversay (12/21), and Christmas gift.

What am I asking for?
kitchen tongs and spatulas (couple of years ago, all I wanted was some new kitchen towels and oven mitts - I got a stationary set :headache:)

What will I most likely get?
gift cards to restaurants...

I wanted a Coach purse. DH just got me two, one for my bday and one for Xmas but he gave them to me now so I can start using them!:

So now all I want is a Kindle.

My DH just bought me an embroidery machine as a combo birthday/Christmas present so anything else from him will be something little. I'd like to get some attachments for my Kitchen Aid, another cast iron skillet, a Pampered Chef muffin pan, and a mother's ring.

I have a hard time coming up with one or two things--that is quite a list.

Really? There's nothing terribly expensive on that list. I could (and do!) come up with that much stuff easily!!

I have to make lists for my brother and my children. My brother and I exchange a substantial number of gifts - we are both single and for many years we have followed the traditions from our childhood and "made Christmas happen" for each other. I have also watched my children enjoy shopping for me and giving me gifts. I make my list and give then some money and they get to choose and also - now that they are old enough - surprise me with other things they know I would like.

What's on my list this year?

A few books that don't come in Kindle format.
A Martha Stewart enameled cast iron Dutch oven
An iPod docking station/speakers
Apple TV
Replacements for some china and stainless flatware
Some decorative accessories for my house/kitchen
small kitchen items - spatulas, hotpads, etc.
placemats
nice bath products
makeup travel bag

I'm sure I'll come up with a few more ideas!!! I love getting Christmas presents.:goodvibes

My DH is in Afghanistan and my mom is feeling sorry for me, so I know she will be going all out this year for me and DD8!;) Here is the list I gave to her:

Epic Mickey for Wii (for both of us)
New Mickey Mouse Watch ( I collect them)
Dooney & Burke mickey bag
Automatic car starter with keyless entry
various sizes picture frames
vinylmations
gift cards to Kohl's, JCP and BB&B
all 5 seasons of Felicity on DVD

Sheets. (how boring!)
Maybe a wine fridge.....

I want a big spaghetti pot. (I don't need a whole set, just the one pot).
I want some lotion from bath and body works- vanilla.
tennis shoes- got the idea from another poster:)
a new purse (but I have to pick it out)
..... I'll keep reading for more ideas.....
oh, a new lap top:)

I'd love to get anything from my Amazon or Think Geek wishlists. Some of the things on them are:
-Torchwood complete series and the most recent season of Doctor Who on Blu-ray
-Demeter Sambucca perfume
-Limited Edition Super Mario All Stars game for Wii
-Yumbots and Nomskulls cupcake molds
-Snoopy Watch
-Snoopy Anniversary Moleskine journals
-SleepPhones headphones
-Timmy's Tea Sampler
-Doctor Who TARDIS Talking Cookie Jar

My husband and I are giving each other a few things for the house as well as a trip to Orlando in January to see a favorite band, so we're going light on the personal gifts to each other this year. But since I have a birthday coming up, I suspect I'll still be getting some things from my wishlists for that.

I'm either going to get a Nook or a camcorder for my "big" gift from DH (who is tech-challenged, so he just takes me shopping to pick out a gift together).

Beyond that, there's just not much I want/need right now. I know a lot of women don't like getting home/kitchen things as gifts, but that's the rest of my list at the moment because those are the things I haven't gotten around to getting for myself.

I'd like a canning pot with a rack, because my mom & I have been sharing my grandmother's set and it would be convenient to always have my own here for when I do something silly like buy a bushel of tomatoes and then realize I have to drive down and pick up the canner before I can do anything with them! And there are a couple of serving pieces missing from my (antique) china that can be found through Replacements.com.

For those few relatives (especially my MIL) who insist on fun/frivolous/"selfish" suggestions, all I can think of is Barnes & Noble or Hobby Lobby gift cards.

I'd like another job. As for little stuff, giftcards for Barnes & Noble and Starbucks would be great.

Hercamore, I hope that you get your wish.
