I have to say that I am pretty much done with cash. I don't know what I would do without my debit card!

Credit cards, then pay them off each month. I have one for gas, grocery and pharmacy purchases that earns 5% and the Disney Visa that earns 1%. Gotta rack up those rewards!

We almost always use the United Airlines Visa to maximize our mileage earned. We ALWAYS pay it off in full. We're going to Maui in June free! And my flight to WDW next month is free! Yay!

We each get $100 cash for the month that goes towards personal entertainment (lunch at work, starbucks, manicures, poker nights, going out with friends, etc). We found that it's easier to use the cash since it's a set boundary. You go to the ATM once a month, and once you're done, you're done!

I use my credit card for most things. It's just easier. I can go to the store, buy something, and by the time I get back, it shows up as a temporary transaction.

Then every week or two I go online and get the balance and pay the bill off in full.

We started that when we were saving almost all ofmy paycheck for the house downpayment. DH paid for groceries and things, but I shopped for them. It was just easier than asking him for cash every time I went to the store.

I had enough points to score a free flight for a girls' weekend doing this.

debit cards on base, Euro out in town (bank charges a percentage on debit cards for international purchases).

I love using my debit card. It took me a long time to pay off a credit card that I used very unwisely. I am very wary of using credit now.

We have a Disney Visa. We use it for pretty much everything and pay off the balance every month. It's worth it to go to WDW with the rewards card :)

I'm a server, so I always have cash on me. I may not have enough so then my debit card is my next choice. Check is always last. I NEVER use a credit card, don't have one, and I don't want one ever again. DH and I are debt free and I'd like to keep it that way! :teeth: I find that I only use checks for paying bills in other states in which they don't have a way for me to pay online. I also pay my rent by using a check so I always have proof that I paid it if the check gets lost.
So again for me, cash is the way to go! DH likes his debit card.

Credit cards because we get rewards from them. We pay them off every month.

We typically use a credit card because we know some people who use their check cards (linked to their bank account) who have gotten their number stolen and it was such a pain to fix. We pay the CC in full every month now (not like when we were younger :rolleyes1 )

My american express gold rewards card. I have a ton of miles on that puppy now. IT MUST be paid in full every month so its more like a debit card with added security, benefits and isurance!

I voted debit card because when we're out, that's pretty much all we use anymore. We're still forced to use checks to pay monthly bills and buy things from school (pictures, yearbooks, school gear, fund-raisers) and pay for school lunches.

I use my Disney Credit Card for everything I can and pay it off at the end of every month. I love getting "Mouse Money" :).

Disney Visa for everything that will take it.Pay off most of the time might take 2 months for big ( SSR dp ) .
I also use mycheckfree online to pay all my bills that I can .I write 2 check a month and pull very little cash for pocket money.
Debit is the easiest to steal from and they can wipe out your account in minutes .
I know most will say bank will take care of it but that could months and they won't cover the bounce payment fees for the bouncies just the bank fees.

I check my CC everyday just to make sure no surpises show up and they can be taken care of by next billing cycle.

Cash is the absolute worse no trail if lost stolen or even used at most places.

You also can't beat Disney's KEY TO MAGIC 1 card for everything .you lose it you get another ,it goes bad you get another.

Credit card - paid off every month here too. At this point it's for frequent flier miles, but at various times over the years I've done money towards cars, cash back, or whatever incentive makes the most sense at the time.
