what do you use to keep track of your trip?

Prior to MDE what did everyone use to keep track of your trip? I still use an excel file where I keep all of the times, fast passes, dining and fireworks/parades info. I also keep all of my reservation numbers and direction in this excel file. Trying to put something together for a group of 10 and most of them don't use the add/MDE so looking for ideas on how you kept schedules. TIA

Excel here too. I use a multi-page workbook with a master sheet and daily pages. The daily pages are printed out on half size sheets of paper and trimmed. Like so...

I've done Excel spreadsheets, but found that folding and unfolding them over and over in the parks made them look yucky. So, last year I just made an index card for each day with park hours, parade/fireworks times, ADR times and confirmation numbers and FP+ times.

Before MDE I didn't. If I got an ADR it was a guest services so I had the little piece of paper they gave me. My hotel ressies were on the paper disney sent. the only difference for me now is my resort ressie is on MDE. I keep all fast pass, ADR on MDE. Paperless and not a planner.

This trip I put everything into my iOS calendar shared with my wife and kids. The next event would show up on my Apple watch and alert me when needed. It was great and the kids could see everything on their calendars when they wanted. Everything was stored in the cloud in case anything happened.

That is such a good idea!! I love my Apple Watch, and I hadn't thought of doing that. Thanks for mentioning it!!

I'm a paper planner. I use a single subject, spiral bound notebook. I'm much happier and feel more organized using paper than anything online or on the computer.

Right before my trip, I use my phone to take pictures of each page so I can refer to that when I'm at the park.

I have always used excel for budgeting and then wrote an itinerary out in Word to keep with me. Then when I got my iPhone, I just emailed myself the document to look at. I noticed that during this past trip, I really didn't look at my email for anything other than what time I had planned to leave the room in the morning. I ended up using the MDE app a lot more than I thought I would!

Up until our last trip last month, I'd print out a daily schedule on index cards, but then I finally bowed to technology and I make a daily schedule in an app called Keep. Surprisingly, I like it better than the paper schedule because our schedule is more of a loose to-do list and as we accomplish things and check them off, the stuff that hasn't been done moves to the top of the list. It makes it easier to keep track of what we hoped to accomplish for the day since we generally move off schedule pretty quickly once 11:00 hits and the crowds start dictating our movement through the parks more.

ETA: I should add that I didn't want anything that would require an internet connection to work, since connectivity is spotty in the parks and resorts. I wanted something that would work off-line, so that's why Keep was ideal for me.

I prefer paper and/or a notebook and like scrapquitler, I take photos of important info to keep on my phone so I can refer to it when needed throughout the day.
