What do you tip for valet parking????

I usually tip $2 each way if service is prompt. If I'm standing there waiting for a valet to come over to a write up the claim check and they aren't busy, then I don't tip at dropoff. If they are quick, I show my appreciation. We don't valet that often. Usually at BWV I valet when we arrive and also put it in valet the night before we depart so that the bellman can take the luggage straight out to the car. Sometimes if I can't find a space in the self park, I will valet rather than riding around forever or if it's raining.

We always tip $2 (or more) on the way out... and occasionally we tip on the way in.

We usually call down ahead so the car is waiting, and pre-cooled when we get there. One time, they had turned off the car, so obviously the AC was not running... so I will usually specificaly request to keep the AC running.

I tip $5 when the service is complete that is when it is delivered, I don't care what looks the valets at WDW are giving out. That is for normal valet service, nothing to do with luggage, just the car. It is the normal thing to do, tip when delivered.

Agree, we tip going and coming as I want each valet to receive a tip for the handling of my car and usually they are never the same.

I remember very clearly my teenage days as a part time waitress. Those who tipped a little extra really made me feel good. If a couple of bucks at drop off might give a valet the good feeling that I had then, it's worth it to me.

$2 in and $2 out. It seems the valet has to do just as much running and walking to park the car as pick it up. And he'll be thinking of the tip (or lack of tip) as he drives it!

The tip, I believe, is to encourage good service as much as reward for service. It makes sense to tip both ways. It seems fair.

We probably over tip. I give $3 at drop off, and $5 at pick up.
Too much? Maybe, but when I call for my car from the room they recognize my name, and my car is always front and center by the time I reach the valet area!

I don't usually tip anything when dropping car off.

Usually about $5 +/- when picking it up.

Never used it at disney but I will tip the same as anywhere else. $5 out.
