The morinings I do not have any breakfast plan our the morinings i will be playing golf' So I throw this out to the experts, what do you think??

Not that I'm an expert ;)

I counted 23 meals - you must be saving one for breakfast one day before golf. :thumbsup2

I wouldn't want to use my 2credit meal at Cali Grill for an appetizer and then go PH for dinner

I agree with the California Grill/Planet Hollywood comment. Planet Hollywood food and service wasn't that great the last time we ate there, but the total experience at California Grill was AMAZING!

with regards to Cali grill I am not a big fish eater, and it looks like they have a majorty of fish on there menue, but my DS loves fish sushi:scared1: so with that and the experince factor its something we want to try. Where actualy considering it the other way around we are going to use our 15.00 coupon to PH and do apptizers there. We might actually go to PH twice, we love PH food and atmesphere.

Just make sure that you have everything spaced out far enough. We've done 3 meals a day and it takes ALOT of time. The days that you have one meal and then a 2 credit meal will be a lot easier. Table Service meals tend to take 1.5 hrs from ADR to finish. So you are talking 4.5-5 hrs eating a day. Just make sure that your family is ok with this much time out of the park.

With that said we do the dddp and we really enjoy it!

I second that.. I will never do more than 2 meals a day scheduled.. you honestly, end up running from ressie to ressie.. I think you made some good choices.. although with the DDXP I would definitely not overlap any restaurants and I would definitely try some more signatures.. You are payinjg for it, you may as well get your money's worth..

I don't think Nine Dragons is really worth two visits when there are so many other options around the World Showcase.

For your California Grill/Planet Hollywood split, that's a fair bit of travel but if you use the voucher for appetizers at PH and then head over to CG for dinner that might work out nicely.

Don't worry about CG as a non-fish eater, though. My DH is allergic to fish but CG is still one of his favorite Disney restaurants. He just sticks to the flatbreads and the filet while DS & I get our sushi fix.

You see I have two Items that I just have to have everytime we are at Disney Period. There hot and sour soup and kung po chicken, truley those two I have not had any better. One of the meals we are just going there to have soup and apptizers:rotfl2:. I know Its silly but my taste buds goes on a roller coaster when we are there. On year I asked If they could double the soup and put it in one big bowel:rotfl2:, it was so funny i had to explaine it to a few people before they new what i wanted. I can not talk for anything else, because I have never eatten any other meal there:rotfl2:

So I came up with a few tweaks:surfweb:,for now:woohoo: I have untill the 19the of March to make any sound comment.

Tue same, L coral reef, D Hoop de doo
wen B Kona cafe, L Yak and Yeti, and Dinner T-rex*, dessert rainforest cafe DTD.
Thursday-(golf in the Morining), L Crystal palace, D pecos Bill

I think all of your choices look good; however, I wonder about how much running around you'll be doing. That is to say, you're running back and forth from park to park to meet dining reservations; how much time will you get at each park?

The second thought I have is that I would strongly discourage doing HDDR on your arrival day, only because you have to pay in advance with a 24 or 48 hours cancellation, and all manner of things could go wrong to prevent you from making it. Plane delays or vehicle malfunction, among them.

Here's how I might rework your plans to keep you from hopping around so much:

Tue(we come in the morining)
EPCOT DAY
Lunch at the Coral reef
Dinner at Biergarten

Wednesday
ANIMAL KINGDOM DAY
Donald's Safari Breakfast
Lunch at Yak and Yeti
Dinner at Wolf gang(TS)

Thursday
MAGIC KINGDOM DAY
Lunch at Crystal Palace
Dinner at HDDR

Friday
EPCOT DAY
Lunch 9 dragons
Dinner at Big Horn or Poly

Saturday
MAGIC KINGDOM DAY
Breakfast Crystal palace
Dinner at Kona Cafe

Sunday
EPCOT DAY
Lunch San angel
Dinner - Split Between Cali Grill and Planet Hollywood

Monday
EPCOT DAY
Breakfast at Cape May Cafe?
Lunch at (split again) between 9-draggons and Rose and crown
Dinner at Le Celier

Tuesday
DHS DAY
Lunch at sci fi
Dinner at ESPN

I don't know if that helps, but it would be a much better use of your time.

I was just wondering if you went through and added up the costs of what you'd like compared to the cost of the plan? Maybe it does...

We are doing the deluxe also, but I made sure it was working in our favor at least from the standpoint of costing what I was paying for the deluxe. The other factors are subjective - convenience, dessert, appetizers, experiences. But, I did not want to have a situation where I was paying more for the plan that I would OOP. Just something I thought I'd mention....

Agree with this comment, if you're doing DxDP it seems like you need to do a few signatures to make it worth it. We are doing 4 signatures and skipping breakfast quite a few days to make it worth it.

Part of the fun for us,is the dinning experince,i know its not the norm but we find the intruge in trying these places year after year. We park hop so running around from one park to another is norm for us to start out with. So when planning where we eat will always corespond with what park we will be doing at the time. In years past i would of never even thought of doing this, when my DS was younger. Now with seeing WDW so much, we are to the point where we want to slow it down just a bit and stop amd smell the roses. If we at the time decide that time or day we want something diffrent we always have options.Right now we only have three days where we will have Breakfast so most days we will be eatting just three meals. On the days like where we split meals, like Cali and Planet hollywood, we have intentions where we will go to DTD any way(at least In plans), and our main meal will be at Cali and apptizers at PH.

I do not agree. We did 3 TS meals a day on the DxDP and we never felt like we were going from ADR to ADR and we never lost more than 1-2 hours a a day of park time for meals. We did breakfast before park opening so we were done just in time for rope drop and dinner was typically right around park closing or after. So I think 3 TS meals can easily be done with a bit of planning and proper scheduling. I also think that if you do it right that you will not feeling like your trip is nothing but ADRs.

ETA: Are you sure that the DxDP is your best value? It seems like with the PH/CG split and just getting soup at Nine Dragon's that you won't really be utilizing the plan to it's fullest.

So my plans for useing the DxDP may have been shot down before It ever got off the ground:confused3. So I was doing some resort checking, and price comparson with our up coming trip. So I price out the DxDP for me and my DS for 9 days It came to roughly 1,264. So I went through the menues of the places we where planing to eat at and It came to about 1,075 with the mugs. If I took out the signature dinners it was even less at about 945$. Now this is before adding tips, but with the meal plan it does not include tips anyway.Thats about 319 give or take:scared1: that I can use to up grade to POR(that was my reson for the exploreing anyway), pay for my golf and tips for the stay.
Kind bumes me out In a way,I was so looking forward to not haveing to deal with menue price surfeing. I know I can still do that but its not going to feel the same. That will automatialy will come on once i open up the menue:sad2:.
But I just can not see takeing 300+ dollars and throwing it away.
