Hi Everyone

We went on this years wet weeks holiday last week and felt very down, we just wanted to be at Disney. It didn't help that we had no internet access and couldn't live our lives lurking on Dis like we usually do!:goodvibes We also realised how difficult it was to keep our 4yo occupied without rides and parades.

It took us 4 years to save for our sons first Disney holiday, but in the last year I have started my own business which is going well and although I don't really want to spend all my profit on 2 weeks in Florida, we are desperate to see the mouse, so.....

I have been surfing for prices for next year. Usually we go the first 2 weeks of December, but I seem to have found a good deal for the last week of Jan and 1st week of Feb 2011 and we are desperate to go! Can anyone tell me what the weather is like then?

The deal is Port Orleans with free CS dining, flights with Virgin (but through someone else) and 14 day unlimited tickets with Complete Orlando for £3154.10 or £3167.00 depending on who we go through. Is this good? Keeping in mind that the best I can get at Pop inc tickets etc is £2818.10, it sounds ok.

We really value your opinions, please let us know.
Thanks loads:)

In my experience, the weather in Orlando is as unpredictable as ours, but statistically the time you're considering will see temperatures in the mid-70s with very little rain. We've been in early January several times and we've had a mixed bag - unseasonably hot for a few days (in the high 80s), then a cold snap will come through and we'll need to cover up until it warms up again. Frosts aren't unheard of, but we've never been that unlucky. You probably won't get those balmy Florida evenings, but, that said, if it's warm during the day, it's surprising how well the heat holds. On the plus side, you don't get the summer storms and unbearable humidity.

Oh, and it will be very quiet then. I wouldn't hesitate for a good deal (albeit I can't comment on whether what you've found is good, or not).

Yes, I have just done a Feb quote on the US site and discovered that my unreachable Poly resort ..... was actually not much more than my October POFQ accommodation :rolleyes1 Feb is not a good time for me to go with a child in school but if I could swing the dates, it would be great!!!

Thanks for the comments, we would have to pull DS out of school, but they are already aware as he has aspergers syndrome and his last trip made such a difference in his confidence, we think it will do him good to go a few times in his early years and although the school have said it will be an unauthorised absence they are being very supportive, so we don't feel too bad about it.

Thanks again
Suzanne

:wave2: Hello fellow Bedfordian.

Sorry can't comment on Feb Weather, we've been in Dec and although shorts & T-Shirts during day - needed jumper 1st thing in am and evenings.

Hi

We've been going in January for the last 3 years and as Deb said the weather is at best unpredictable. This year we had a week of FREEZING weather, hats, scarfs, gloves and big coats all required and it was still cold! The coasters couldn't run because of ice on the rails and we found that everything was geared to keeping you cool and not warm! It was actually warm in the wild arctic attraction at sea world.... yes that's the one with the ice wall :rotfl: But then the next week it was in the 80s and we were at the water parks!

Having said that about the weather though, crowds are pretty low, most things are either walk on or 15 -20 min waits.

I'm not sure about the price as we don't ever stay onsite as we prefer a villa, hopefully someone will be along later to help you with the prices.
